Kushner’s Felon Father Back At Helm Of New York Empire With Two Fellow Inmates
It’s hard to find work right out of prison. But Avram Lebor and Richard Goettlich walked from their Alabama penitentiary into top jobs at the real estate company then run by Jared Kushner, now President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser. The two men, convicted in separate sprawling fraud schemes, were hired several years ago by his father, Charles Kushner, who had been locked up in the same federal prison with them.

oh, i didn't realise it wasn't a ban on christian Syrians fleeing war just the muslim one's.
so trump is effectively doing the work of ISIS by barring Muslims who are fleeing desperate situation on the basis of their religion.
This is no different from racial profiling.
And you know it is profoundly dangerous if even dick cheney thinks it is too extreme.

Trump silencing scientists? Just another example of a standard practice during the change of administrations being fake news'd into an outrage.
Federal Agencies Told to Halt External Communications

Fake news was supposed to refer to completely made up news, like National Inquirer type stories, which clickbait sites were publishing during the election simply to make money. Mostly aimed at Trump supporters by the way since this was apparently by far the easiest demographic to convert.
EPA officials saying they were ordered to take down a page on climate change, which was reported by Scientific American, is not fake news. Even if the government backtracked or there was disagreement about what the motive was, it's not the media making things up out of thin air.
Of course the backdrop to all of this is that you have a politician who says climate change was invented by the Chinese appointing a corporate puppet of the oil industry who wants to dismantle the EPA to run the EPA. Is it surprising scientists would be concerned with that going on?
What is really hard to understand is people saying the media lies and Trump tells the truth. How you can watch the past year of news and walk away with that conclusion is just baffling.
It's a classic authoritarian tactic to discredit the media and make people only believe the person in power. In fact Trump's white nationalists supporters were chanting lügenpresse at their party after Trump was sworn in.
From the birth certificate thing years ago to claiming 3 million people voted illegally a few days ago, Trump lies again and again to his own supporters, he even started a fake university to screw over his own supporters.

no fatal terror attacks in the US by citizens from countries covered by trump's muslim ban.
The ban covers spouses of people from those counties. people are already being detained in airports and re-entry is being disallowed to people's spouses.
Legal US residents residents from countries covered by ban can't visit family or go on vacation and come back.
Iran has banned US citizens from entering Iran. This means that US citizens with family in Iran will no longer be able to visit their families.

Fake news is clearly used ironically. The news organizations that created the term where themselves found to be colluding with political parties to push their agendas. They did it to Bernie. Clickbait existed long before these elections, and Hillary supporters where just as much targets to false narratives as Trumps.
The motivation behind EPA officials being ordered to take down a page on climate change is based on a false narrative. The order given to EPA officials are standard practice during a presidential transition. The idea that this was a direct attack against science by the Trump administration was false.
You want to talk about clickbait, which story do you think got more impressions? Scientists scared by Trump claiming he's attacking science? Or standard practice during a presidential transition?
Watching the past year of news is one of many reasons to be skeptical of stories published in any news organization.
- Which sections of the agency website were removed in the last transition?lowimpakt
- It's not a false narrative. Trump says climate change is a hoax. Scott Pruitt also a climate skeptic and wants to dismantle a lot of what the EPA does.yuekit
- So scientists are right to be afraid that he's attacking science. You can't pretend people are blowing it out of proportion when Trump himself has taken theyuekit
- most extreme view on this.yuekit

You still haven't explained why Trump's lies don't bother you. The birth certificate thing, an obvious and blatant lie. Trump himself admitted there was nothing to it a few months before the election without any explanation.
Millions of illegals voting, a lie invented out of nowhere which plays on racial polarization. These are just a few examples, you could write a whole book on the subject.
In terms of clickbait, Trump has appointed the CEO of Breitbart, the most clickbait-driven and sensational news site, as his number one advisor. Trump appears on Alex Jones' show.
You don't seem to be able to defend any of this, but you're saying the media is dishonest. Who in the media? The media is made up of hundreds of thousands of people. Some are good some are bad, but on a spectrum from complete accuracy to total bullshit, I would put Trump's media, Breitbart and Alex Jones, pretty far on the side of bullshit.
Of course Trump wants to attack and discredit the real media, since it's the only thing left to hold the people in power (him and the Republicans) accountable. Even if I was someone who voted for Trump, I would find that extremely troubling.
- Just because you find him indefensible does not mean some of these stories about him are not true.IRNlun6
- Attaching false stories too him makes any real criticism about him much less believable.IRNlun6
- likewise, just because he says shit doesn't make it true, and that's what the problem is ... people (like you) actually seem to believe his alternative realitymonospaced
- Media, CNN just one example, discredits itself when aligning with political parties during elections. They deserve to be called out and distrusted.IRNlun6
- But do you find these lies by Trump to millions of people defensible or not?reanimate
- You clearly don't like Brietbart and find it fair to criticize them. They're all still free to report, criticize, or spin. Trump just handles them differentlyIRNlun6
- The thing is Trump is neither Republican or Democrat, he's common sense and he's brilliant at keeping up millions of people up late at night thinking of him.robotron3k
- haha - Trump's future legacy - fear induced insomnia.fadein11
- Robo, that is utter bullshit. Trump is running the show as a Republican. Before the election, you might have gotten a pass saying he was neitherallthethings

- named to.allthethings
- @IRNlun6 Hopefully we can agree that it doesn't make sense to complain about something, and then align with the side that is even worse.yuekit
- Breitbart is the worst example of all the things you mentioned -- clickbait headlines, doesn't care about the truth, openly supports one party and politician toyuekit
- the point where their CEO now works for him. They are basically Trump's propaganda site.yuekit
- Not to mention that judging by the comments a large proportion of their readership are white nationalists and other kinds of racist scum.yuekit

Like banning Muslims from high risk terror risk states won't put the biggest target on all your foreign interests. Lol. Pathetic short sighted idiotic policy.
Not to mention Saudi Arabia not on the list - never forget ahem.
- Section 1 of the order opens with a discussion on 9/11 and then ignores the countries where the hijackers came from. It's a flawed policy that panders to idiotslowimpakt
- Like being targeted as a result doesn't show justification for it in the first place.IRNlun6
- oh come on - stopping bombing the shit out of Islamic countries should be a priority before you ban the majority of desperate victims of said bombing.fadein11
- starting to rebuild that region should be the priority.sted
- Would have been a stronger message if SA was on the list. Their power makes it a much more complicated issue than immigration.IRNlun6
- US is half way up Saudi Arabia's ass and so is Trump.fadein11
- @sted - trust me the US will rebuild - that's what they do and have done since WWII. Big money in war.fadein11
- US profited nicely from the Marshall Plan.
but it's hard to do this with the oil in the middle east ...sted - Destroy infrastructure, rebuild infrastructure. US got all the contracts post Bosnia after forcing a NATO bombing campaign which accidentally destroyedfadein11

So after you killed one third of the middle and east bombed the shit out from an other third with your cold war 'buddy', without even considering the fact that not a single nation will be able to rebuild what you had done the best thing what you can do is to isolate your self and protect your own country.
That's some level of foresight what deserves a Nobel prize, and not the one what they give for pace but a new type:

- Correct fadein, "Nominations for the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize closed just 11 days after Obama took office... winner was chosen unanimously on October 5" so he wasrobotron3k

- sted you mentioned "Nobel Prize", any hoo, who says counties flush w/oil money can't afford to rebuild? I see many healthy refugee men climbing fences on tvrobotron3k
