Awan, who was hired in 2005, was reportedly in possession of an iPad used by then-DNC Chair Wasserman Schultz, a Florida representative, around the time that DNC emails were leaked to WikiLeaks.
Awan, three members of his family, and close friend Rao Abbas were House IT workers and are accused of stealing equipment from Democratic members’ offices without their knowledge and committing potentially illegal violations on the House IT network, including leaking sensitive information stored within the servers and personal devices of House members.

Well, in the end, no-one should really be surprised by this whole Jeff Sessions business. We're talking about someone who — in getting in bed with Putin — has proved disloyal to his own country. To expect him to be loyal to the people who, like Sessions, supported him is an absolute joke.

It’s the fanboy BS that is getting especially disturbing in all of this. I get that it’s basic psychology that when you back something, commit to it publicly, there’s a complete reluctance to rescind on your previous position (doubt turns people into stronger advocates, the effect is stronger if someone’s identity is threatened, cognitive dissonance etc etc; there’s a wealth of research out there going back decades), but, come on, we’ve all backed the wrong horse at some point, adopted a position that we’ve retrospectively realised was a mistake, that’s life and part of the process of growing as an individual. I mean, this whole DJT, our great leader... grow a pair, look at the last six months objectively and admit this guy is a fucking mess and he’s full of shit!
