Trump should use his last days as president to pardon Snowden and Assange.
Which would be awesome, too bad Donald is dumb like a loaf of bread, so the chances are slim to none
- yeah don't think Snowden wants to be pardoned by Drumpgrafician
- umm how do you pardon someone who hasn't been tried?jonny_quest_lives

There's some interview on NPR today with various nurses who are basically having psychological breakdowns due to The State of Things: they are talking about being run down at work while having to convince their patients that the virus they have isn't a hoax. Then they drive home and see full restaurants and nobody wearing masks while they themselves are going through the ringer just to see their family / etc., and they're rightfully losing it.
What's interesting to me about this is that I can totally relate to that feeling - because it's how the left has felt about liberals for decades.
The people who don't wear the masks now and are swearing Covid is a hoax are the same ones who think anything to the left of corporate capitalism is radical, and excuse a horrific world police / military industrial complex as some form of "well here we are now what else are ya gonna do?" pragmatism.
A refusal to criticize the Obama administration and a latching on to identity politics that defends vipers like Harris (but applaud her for her race?) is tantamount to a less visible MAGA hat.
But instead that like 'no we are the highly educated party that somehow can't think critically enough to understand the institutions of that education are biased in their own nature to the overall infrastructure of American imperialism' sidelines any actual discourse until they desperately need to win an election against a literal nazi because-as a party with no ideology but very good branding-there is nothing that is fundamentally different about their view than the nazi's view, other than who should be perceived as worthwhile in our society.
So whatever like, I guess liberals can laugh at Trump as he has a temper tantrum on the way out, but y'all have had one for four years and probably still can't figure out why he was elected in the first place, or how he grew his base and diversified the republican party while he was at it. Absolutely bonkers.
- Ok sure, but did you really just compare your feelings about liberals and the left to the experience of nurses having psychological breakdowns?nb

"Attorney General William Barr said Tuesday that the Justice Department has not uncovered evidence of widespread voter fraud that could change the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, despite claims by President Trump and his campaign’s legal team."

Rudolph W. Giuliani, President Trump’s lawyer who has led the most extensive efforts to damage his client’s political rivals and undermine the election results, discussed with him as recently as last week the possibility of receiving a pre-emptive pardon before Mr. Trump leaves office, according to two people told of the discussion.
^ From the NYT
A pre-emptive pardon! Giuliani is completely the kind of guy who would expect a pre-emptive pardon.
