As courteous and welcoming as we all are as a community, when an idea is voiced without any consideration, it may seem the silence of the majority was rife with opportunity for people of low morals to break through.
What constitutes being a part of a community is being mindful to one another. And when the subject matter carries grave importance, consider this — lay it to your heart first.
For sundry reasons, without casting aside opposing views, one must recognize that a misguided ambition may take the reason prisoner. It may even provoke an admired disorder.
A kind caution through these dreadful and strange times.

"French far-right leader Marine Le Pen has obtained a €10.6 million loan from a Hungarian bank to finance her presidential election campaign, according to RTL radio on Wednesday. This comes after the presidential candidate for Rassemblement National said she was having trouble obtaining bank loans at home.
Le Pen’s party has a track record of seeking questionable funding.
During the 2014 municipal elections, Le Pen’s party resorted to Russia’s First Czech-Russian Bank to finance its campaign to the tune of €9 million. A few years later, the bank shut down.
Back then, the news had sparked concerns that Le Pen, who said she is an admirer of President Vladimir Putin, promised a softer line on Russia over Ukraine, urging the West to drop economic sanctions on Moscow."

- Wanna bet she is not actually far-right, but mainly in it for the money?grafician
- Wanna bet any far-left or far-right candidates are only in it for the money and they have no actual political stance?grafician

A LOT of European politics is mainly doing things out of spite!
People would vote against their best interests just so they could spite the "other side" - it's horrendous!
90% of these people are pensioners, socially-assisted idiots, the welfare state mostly, who have it for free from the working class pockets basically fucking the working class in the name of some glorious period in their life that never actually existed in reality
basically MAGA people but in Europe
FUCKING MORONS!
(sorry, very triggered rn)
- And all these fuckers have their idols: In Italy it was Berlusconi, in Hungary is Orban, in Germany it was Schröder and so on...grafician
- Really? So it’s the people’s fault? You don’t think many of those are voting to close boarders and shut up shop because they’re scared?Ianbolton
- Even Trump made ridiculous promises which was going to make America great again. It’s bullshit, but politically you can understand why it happens.Ianbolton
- @Ianbolton How many British voted for Brexit OUT OF SPITE? Please tell us :)grafician
- I'd say a lot of them. But was that spite born out of misinformation and outright lies? Course it was. It's easy to make people feel threatenedIanbolton

"Emmanuel Macron’s centrism has been most successful in economic policy. He has achieved less politically, however.
France’s election on Sunday is a contest between him and a cacophony of extremists"
- Going forward into global affairs, climate change issues, etc. there is no other way but centrism! All far-left and far-right are fucking nuts and morons!grafician
- Populism and nationalism are basically the death of civilisation.
Basically returning to the "tribes of Europa"...grafician - It seems that Macron and his ilk think there is no other way than centralization. And not terribly democratic centralization at that.monNom
- Other's might think there is still some utility in negotiation between peer-states, which focus on domestic issues that suit their nation.monNom
- Seems like a difference of opinion about how far removed 'the halls of government' should be from the people it purports to serve.monNom
- Also "Populism and nationalism are basically the death of civilisation" is such pearl clutching. These are factors that have existed within civilization forevermonNom
- A national identity does not equal repressive exclusion of all others. Populism does not equal majoritarian trampling of minority rights.monNom
- These terms are most often trotted out by powerful entities who are resistant to laws that limit their ability to grow even more powerful.monNom
- Laws limiting offshoring to China? Populism!
Laws protecting domestic producers? Nationalism! Have a nuanced view of climate policy? Far-right!monNom - Want access to medical care as a poor person? Far-left!monNom
- lol let me guess, you're not European...grafician
- Populism can basically be summed up as "the establishment is terrible, corrupt, dishonest etc..."yuekit
- "...and that's why I've decided to vote for this random person off the street who is also guilty of all these things, while having no experience at all."yuekit
- "...and possibly also being a fascist who secretly works for Putin. But hey, at least they are not the establishment..."yuekit
- ^ and yet, ironically, they are the epitome of corruption, not to mention other atrocities, proven over and over, it's all ok if not 'big gov'formed

DailyKos is keeping a handy list of GOP sexual predators, they're currently past 750 incidents. Yet another situation with GOP projecting their own guilt against democrats.
- Now let's see if the D's can manage to make a message about it (doubtful, they get handed presents and f'em up). The GOP makes shit up and gets results.formed
