I read some excerpts of her interview with Charles Gibson, and I have to really say, I hope no one in America buys this crap as a genuine opinion. She's doing nothing but reciting talking points given to her by the RNC. Like a little robot.

sputnik, if you're not coming back, your post is meaningless because you will not see any responses to your post... if you want to start a dialog, then do that but posting and declaring that you won't be back is silly.
Also that comment is clearly meant to incite a reaction. Perhaps epete is bored.
And as for the animosity, nothing polarizes like politics or religion. This is somewhat tame compared to some of the religious rants that have taken place on this board.

Hey - so, I've just been digging through reddit.com before I go to sleep and 'catching up' with some of the McCain/Palin vs. Obama/Biden saga - watched that ABC thing (Charlie Charlie Charlie Charlie) and something off NBC (I think?).
I'm after an American news source where the news commentators respond to the answers to their questions (if that makes sense?) and not just 'ask question, accept response, move on to next question'. Somewhere where a respected news person (R or D, I don't care) actually challenges the interviewee.
What channel would I find that on?
(please don't say Comedy Channel's Daily Show...)

A big part of the problem IMO is that the press has bought into this idea that they need to be "balanced" and present "both sides of the story" all the time, EVEN if one side is lying through their teeth.
So the Republicans can get away with shamelessly lying, and it comes down to a question of who you can "identify" with more, instead of who has the better policies.

Not to mention this ridiculous whining about sexism. Let's face it, no matter who you are, people are going to pick on you. People pick on Obam and McCain for any number of reasons. If women want to run for the highest office, they can't put every single criticism down to sexism or be constantly using it as a weapon. You don't get to claim sexism when our country is being attacked or when you are trying to deal with some major world issue.
