Rove: McCain went 'too far' in ads
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS…that's saying alot
- We need to see the Dem's use this in an ad. NOW!Lt_Jack_Hammer
- that guy knows.lackofcolor
- they won't, they're too kind and gentleflashbender
- Rove is still an operator and he would love nothing more to have dems stay on the Palin agenda. while fucking Rome burns********

Palin approval ratings:
Approve Disapprove No Opinion
9/11: 52 35 13 +17
9/12: 51 37 12 +14
9/13: 49 40 11 +9
9/14: 47 42 11 +5
9/15: 47 43 10 +4In the span of five days, Palin has gone from +17 to +4 -- a statistically significant shift. This includes the Gibson interview as well as the media's sudden focus late last week on the Palin/McCain lies. In comparison, Biden is at 48/32/20, Obama is at 54/38/8, and McCain is at 51/45/4.
So Palin may not be the least popular of the four -- McCain is, but she is certainly the least liked of the four candidates, and given that both Obama and Biden are at +16 favorability, McCain's +6 and and Palin's +4 point to a fundamental weakness that will likely play a role moving forward.
How about McCain in that time period?
Approve Disapprove No Opinion
9/11: 55 44 1 +11
9/12: 56 43 1 +13
9/13: 55 43 2 +12
9/14: 53 44 3 +9
9/15: 51 45 4 +6Not as dramatic a collapse as Palin, but still bleeding some popularity from the media's sudden focus on the dishonorable campaign McCain has run. (So dishonorable, remember, that even Karl Rove thinks the McCain/Palin campaign has gone too far. And Fox News too.)

Anyone else disgusted by how much money is raised and spent to become president in this country?
- BattleAxe0
it really is sickening i mean this country just got use to it, we don't want change , if we really wanted change we would tear this place apart , but we are too scared because we have to be at work the next day

Seems like with new technology it should open the doors for more candidates by being able to get their message out with much much less cost. I know we saw a little of that with Ron Pauls campaign. I wish they'd pass some sort of regulation on these campaigns. i.e. no television ads, host a website that contains all their content and allow people to learn about the candidates on a level playing field...dunno...something.
Just seems so stupid, here we are in a recession and these guys are raising 30+ mil a month off of people who are effected by the recession so that they can get in and raise some mo fuckin' taxes! Woot! That's the America we know and love! I really hate how we end up with two choices every 4 years. Doesn't make any sense to me that we determine that there are only two individuals in the whoooole country who are fit to lead. Two individuals who have the right ideas. I have more choice than that when I buy bleach at the supermarket.
- That's like saying there are only 2 teams in the NFL. It has to come down to 2. Look at how little most of America knows about these 2 and their running mates. Can you imagine if we had to learn about a bunch of them?jjoeth6
- I'd love it if this window had enough space for you to tell me why it needs to come down to two.tommyo
- This is not the Super Bowl...this is a country and no where does it say that we need to be a two party system.tommyo

All if these bank failures are from McCain's economic consultant, Phil Gramm... he was responsible for Enron and the mortgage mess and McCain will make him sit on his cabinet if he gets elected...
I hope more of this get on in the mainstream press

Which candidate is better equipped to handle the financial crisis?
Check out the comments. Almost all say Obama...
- KwesiJ0
so i've heard it a lot that the 'popular vote' means nothing...can anyone explain this and whatever the other vote is and why its more important in terms of who actually gets elected?
- The Electoral Map is what really counts...

popular vote = who everyone voted for
electoral college = who ever some fancy fucks voted for
president is picked by electoral college ,why we even vote = who the fuck knows

I agree with robotroni435ckk.
The country is as banged-up today as it was on September 11, 2001. It is foolish to think that John McCain is the solution. Americans should be raiding the White House today with Obama on their shoulders.

Dow down 500 points today. Does anyone know what happened to the Dow on 9/11 2001? I'm curious to compare.
- BusterBoy0
Was the biggest drop since 9/11 apparently.
