Rockford, IL.
My girlfriend's from there. Her family lives there. I know there's worse cities in the state, but it's a good thing we've made a promise to each other long ago: She'll never move us there, and I'll never move us to Dallas.
It's really not that bad I guess... I just think about it in comparison to Chicago and think: no culture. zero. The only place I can find anything that relates to the outside world that I enjoy, I have to find it in magazines at Borders or Barnes & Noble.

Since I'm in Detroit and quite fond of it, I'd say Pontiac, MI. I used to have a loft/studio there and would routinely wake up to piles of bum poop next to my car.

Vlissingen (in NY Flushing was named after it)
I believe in NY it is fairly upper class, while the original Flushing (Vlissingen) is quite the opposite. chavs, gangsters. druggies, homeless, alcoholics and just a general sense of negativity and despair.
i lived there for almost 2 years and then i needed psychiatric support..

I've never actually been there, just drove through there and ridden the train past it, but i think Wilmington, DE is all chemical factories. I don't think anyone actually lives there.

I'm from Calgary so our nemesis is Edmonton, Alberta. It's a blue collar crap hole...
They of course just say Calgary is full of uptight, white collar snobs.
Calgary has most of the oil industry office jobs while the Edmonton area has more of the field work related jobs.
