Sorry to hear this m100. You've got great work and I wouldn't be surprised if you get snapped up pretty quick - keep an eye out on Seek.com.au maybe?

Lucky you getting notice. I worked for a company in SF called Digital Brewing Co. (http://www.digitalbrewing.com/) and had the worst experience of my life. First month of employment my paycheck was a week late. Second month of employment, my paycheck was 15 days late. Third month of employment, the company followed suit with GMC and blamed their failures on "the economy" and told everyone to stick it out with them for free, and hope that things turned around. Two weeks later, everyone was out of a job, and were made to wait almost two months for their final paycheck.
Again, be glad you got warning and a chance to move on, instead of being dumped in the street.

Mr100 - Sorry to hear your news. Take the freelance, any port in a storm as they say. Something will spin round soon enough.
Talent survives.

Sorry about your oven, it's hard when they go like that. Took me a while and I swore I wouldn't get one again but alas, I did.
Sorry about the job too.

That sucks m100. I don't think there's reason to panic though. There are still opportunities out there and I'm sure you'll land one. Hang in there.

With all these layoffs coming up, surely there should be some QBN user collaboration. Use some of the great talent for something other than cool moleskin projects. A QBN freelance network of sorts...
