Lyrebird will offer an API to copy the voice of anyone. It will need as little as one minute of audio recording of a speaker to compute a unique key defining her/his voice. This key will then allow to generate anything from its corresponding voice.

Cool, not Scary..
I've been pretty jealous of Germany's fucking-cool looking Wendelstein X-7* small format fusion test lab, ruing our not doing something similar here in the UK... but apparently I was just (as often) wrong and ignant.
I've no idea how these guys are paying for all this (appears to be a private company) but I'm massively happy to see there are more efforts to try and iterate more quickly, and cheaply, to fusion alongside the massive ITER effort, which itself is only a test platform for an even bigger project after.

If you're at all interested in fusion power, I highly recommend this (albeit 1hr 40min long) video from MIT, about how technological gains can, like the two above examples, help iterate developements quickly.
