Those of you on MT, how many of you actually use the extent of what's available to you?

if you have no specific technical requirements, just go with whatever is cheaper. they're really not all that different beyond price at that level. there are certainly cheaper options than mt.

I've never had a problem with MT though I've got to say nothing beats Rackspace for me.
- yeh, rackspace is top of their game. Not cheap, but they're so reliable and cool.mikotondria3

"hmm, morilla's statement is based on direct experience while yours is based on... what now?"
i have absolutely zero experience with them. i'm merely pointing out the lack of any real positive customer backing when these threads arise, and how if anything the non-negative comments are usually the token monotonic "well, gee they've always done me right" response.

I think there hosting is a bit pricey, but I like having the flexibility to add and remove domain/site when ever I want.

They've offered to settle for $500, but this still doubles my hosting rate for the year. Makes you wonder if they have insiders causing these problems to generate revenue for mt

ace,
It's great that you're such a rock star at this hosting thing, but not everyone is. I don't see anything on MT's site indicating that certain world-class skills are necessary to sign up for their hosting.
This was an honest mistake. Sure, it might inconvenience MT, but guess what? Life is full of inconveniences. How you handle them is how respect is earned... or lost. From my own experiences with the company, and from reading this post, I think it's clear that respect, dignity, and honor are but mere afterthoughts to them. It's about money and money only with them. And sadly, they'll cross any and all ethical lines for it.

why not? After all, it's a business and they need to make money right?
I say you don't pay anything! You didn't cause this, and you shouldn't be responsible for it. They should fucking apologize and get rid off the balance. If they keep giving you shit, just drop them and go somewhere else...

yeah. I say you remind them that there are at least a trillion other hosts and that you doubt that they are the best, or even close to the best. But make sure you tell someone that it will matter to-
