^ naw, i think that watch was a genuine gift. In return walt didnt give jesse shit but a shitload of guilt. the last two seasons jesse has done nothing but figure outs and carry the load. no fucking way walt maintains his badass persona momentum. he depends on too many people who are unpredictable.

Ooohhh, I have an idea: Was there ever any reference, image, etc. to Heisenberg wearing that hat that the DEA was aware of? I can't remember. But, something tells me there was some reference to it.
So, if there was, I could picture Hank casually seeing the hat, inside the backseat of Walt's new car, and kind of wondering a little about it. Walt never wears it around him, only wears it when he's Heisenberg.

OK, so they want to make sure they replace the methlymene with water so no one catches wise, but it's not like they can pull the exact same stunt in the same way in the same place again. Some guy's truck or something always blocking the tracks at that particular road.
Why do they care if anyone found out the stuff got ripped off? The DEA knows that blue meth means it was made from a straight methlymene cook.

I don't buy that theory, if he knew already then the whole show makes no sense.
What they are doing is just preparing the audience to the moment he finally gets Walter, and that if that's how things finally turn out.
