That episode was frustrating. Jessie was able to fool Walt so easily with the GPS story. Walt is so meticulous throughout the entire series and just a season or two ago GPS played a major role with Gus. So, when Walt went to hide his millions and millions of dollars he never checked the van for GPS? Even if he didn't think of the rental company having it, I would not have trusted huell and the other guy. Maybe it was just there to highlight Walt was getting sloppy.
It also seemed strange that Walt gave a full and very detailed confession to Jessie over the phone. I was half expecting him to tell Jessie to stop burning his $123,425,123.68
- < my girlfriend said the same thing. "how is he being fooled so easily now?"rosem
- My only thought was that shit is hitting the fan now and he doesn't have time to be so meticulous.rosem
- that's the story of the entire show, Walt being a genius then a dumbass. The only they can move that plot forward...zarkonite
- It was believable because how else would Jessie have known he had 7 barrels full of cash + the photo.sarahfailin
- the car/phone sequence was rather bizarre and he talked way too much out of sudden.********
- THE PHOTO OF THE CASH BARREL FUCKED HIM UP. <end>BrokenHD
- If there's one thing that'll stop him being thorough, i's the thought of losing his money.Luda

Here's the thing: Jesse said he was coming for Walt "where he really lives." Someone on FB mentioned last night that he "lives in his pride and ego." That's why I think Walt went nuts - his money is his pride and ego. That's what he's leaving for his kids and family - it's the whole reason he got into meth in the first place.
So, I can totally agree with a big meltdown that is out of character for Walt. If that money is gone, his "legacy" is gone and everything he worked for for his kids is gone.

I get that, but he had time to think it over and take precautions when he hid the money. For the sake of the story I am willing to accept that he just panicked and never stopped to think.
Another issue I had was how accurate and quick their (hank and others) cell tower triangulation was, especially considering they were working rogue.
- They followed him and likely, had a tracking device on his car.raf

I wasn't surprised at him being fooled about the money, but I was surprised when he blurted out that he killed people.

How was Hank so sure that the kids mums phone message was a trap? Did I miss something?
- instrmntl0
I don't get why Walt didn't think that Hank got to Pinkman.
- thought he was on Crystal Blue BenderRamanisky2
- Ah right.instrmntl
- if you watch previous episodes, Hank and pinkman had a rough story, this was very unexpectedMiguex
- True bt w Heull missing you'd think it would at least cross his mind.instrmntl
- true .. but he only found out about Huel missing seconds before Pinkman sends him the pic of the moneyRamanisky2
- and even if he had enough time, it was way more probably that pinkman killed him, that's what saul thought tooMiguex

when walt is giving the neo nazis the lotto numbers saying they were coordinates, were they really coordinates or were they just random lotto numbers?
if random numbers, how did the neo nazis find walt? or did walt use the coordinate numbers on a lotto ticket to remember the exact spot?
oi
- walt bought lotto tickets using those numbers as a way to remember the spotMiguex
- the joke is, he won that lotto before buying the ticketsMiguex
- or so he thought... BLAMMiguex

todd is slowly becoming one of my favorite characters.
like, for a show that has a lot of strange personalities on it that go to such violent extremes, his is the most interesting. it's not "just business" the way it was with gus, or even trying to two-step morality like walt, or simply accepting evil like jesse.
todd is just a complete sociopath. crime is just an afterthought, but not as him being some kingpin, but rather as just a pawn. the stunningly flat character i think is given a lot of weight this way - with everyone else there's some sort of code involved in their madness (whichever way it swings). todd is just fascinatingly dead to everything.

Fucking shit is fucked, we're all fucked, fuck

I don't think Walt makes it back home now till that final episode. Mexican stand off that was, he and maybe Jessie walk out of that scene alive I think.

Hank is dead for sure. That whole I love you phone call was the nail in the coffin as far as story writing basics.

Next episode: someone's brains.
Also, "Kind of Blue" at the beginning. And Todd's ringtone, right after Lydia's teasing:
