go up to devon ave. get out of wicker park/downtown area for a bit. devon is awesome--it may not be a museum, but it's fun and the food is really good. there a re a number of good inidian/pakastani restaurants up there. if you taket the bus far enoucgh west you can go through russia, palestine and israel. i dn't know anywhere else in the city that you can drink out of a cooconut. also, big chi(bar) in edgewater has some really nice art. pretty famous stuff .

ps. the walsh gallery on peoria (in the loop) is AMAZING. always.

walk through Lincoln park zoo....its free, and you very casual. cool gorilla display....its integrated with the lake front and in a great neighborhood so you can seamlessly stroll from there to a small botanic garden to some restaurants and bars on clark street..
