- I love this pic..it's like your pounding your fist in frustration, and there's little stains of failure on the cart there.TheBlueOne

i broke my ankle once. it looks like you werent in any pain... i didnt feel the pain til i took off my shoe. when that happened it was like instant, the swelling started out of nowhere and the pain instantly kicked in... wow worse than exposed roots in your teeth which i consider the most pain of any pain.. oi
good to see you have such great spirits... i was like 11 when i broke my ankle and this past year torn the ligaments in my entire left arm from shoulder to finger tips.. i was crying like a baby!!!
you looked tuff, but were there any pics of you as a sissy?
:)
good luck getting your "SHOW" back on!!!
- broken bones don't really hurt that much. It hurts when it happens for about 10 minutes but that's the worst of it really.moth

Thanks guys recovery by the book!
It was my 2nd to last day of work and bit of fun enusred at lunch. after jumping from that thing I just landed hard... I spent many years of my life skateboarding without breaking a bone and i snap myself off a poxy little plinth. :(I was laughing about it until yesterday morning when the reality set in. Getting about and trying not to fall over got a cab into work and was pretty much carried to the pub for leaving drinks. the only difficult thing was when i was a little pissed having to negotiate the loo but at least I never once went to the bar!
:)
now i have my laptop, XBOX and a whole 6 series of battlestar galactica to get on with! see ya in a week or every 15 min...

A speedy recovery to you

...and don't watch Mad Men

Don't take this lightly. I'd take a second opnion, having it x-rayed with the cast on first. Do isometric exercises, you can get muscle atrophy sooner than you think. Even with exercise your calf is likely to be thinner than the other one aftter it ends

ouch. sorry to hear man. best wishes and a soon recovery to you.

I just watched episode 6 of current Mad Men..

Ah sucks to hear it. Its a pain to move around and do mundane things.

It's amazing the confidence one feels whilst wearing (or "rocking" in the parlance of our times) a Batman tee.
Speedy recovery, chap.

I knew this guy who broke his ankle once... he thought it was no big deal and kind of laughed about it. He ended up getting a blood clot around the break and had to go on blood thinners for a while to get rid of it. 9 months later he was still on blood thinners, he was totally unable to work because standing up or any exertion would make him dizzy and faint. He fell off the long-term disability at work and then lost his house. Then his wife left him and took his kid. Meanwhile he started loosing sight in one of his eyes due to the blood thinners. They couldn't even operate because they couldn't stop the blood thinners, so he would have bled everywhere if they cut him open. 14 months after he broke his ankle he walked into a door because of his bad eye. He ended up breaking his nose and bleeding internally into his brain...
Then he died.
