Screw parrots

I lived with a bid for 4 years. It wasn't cool.
They shit everywhere, are noisy and are kind of depressing. They shouldn't be kept indoors, it's not in their nature.

They shit EVERYWHERE. You will find bird crap in the most odd places, it dries hard as a rock and it takes a great effort to clean it up.
I can't stress this enough. Do consider having to deal with this for years.

i had a parakeet, and loved him. unfortunately, so did my cat. :(

Someone gave us a Senegal Parrot years ago. I like the bird but I don't think it makes a good pet. The range of sounds and words it uses is impressive. He likes me because I'm the loudest in the house and always joking and laughing. He laughs really loud at my jokes from the other room before anyone else.
When we had him in a central room he would get really loud when we had guests over. If we let him out he flies and lands on your head which is kind of scary. They are also really unpredictable and can bite unexpectedly and really do damage.
