nice site. much better idea to get actual designers to design your site than fucking database engineers from Sun. I'm talking about you, mlb.com.
that said... once you go down below the fold and into 3 column land, everything kinda gets mushed up together. mlssoccer.com is still my favorite league site for now.

UFC.com looks like it underwent bit of a makeover - currently in beta:
Thoughts?
My initial reaction is the UI is much cleaner, modern and functional although I am still acclimating myself to the new layout. Having a bit of trouble finding things like the fight card and whatnot.
Also not crazy about the absurd amount of flash the site is using... but at least it makes for a rich user experience. All in all nice job!

I want Carwin to win for sure, but after watching this video, it's hard to count out Brock. Dude is a specimen.

fedor by tsar bomba!

I still think Brock is a bit of a wild-card as an MMA fighter. Granted, the guy is a moose, it still remains to be seen if he can take a thumping (as opposed to dishing one out). And I think Carwin is none-the-better as an opponent who could potentially topple him.
Super geeked for this fight...
almost equally geeked for the Anderson Silva VS Chael Sonnen in UFC 117 - That has a dynamite fight card too!

Shane Carwin is a beast. Not sure if he is as strong as Brock though. Specially since Frank Mir is thinking about moving to 205. I wonder....

@identity - it's right at the bottom right, under site credits. "Red Interactive Agency"
166.ufc, wow this is a kick-ass site. I enjoyed this layout. I can't believe some people are giving this fight to Lesnar... haha no way. Carwin all the way.

It's a pity that the Wanderlei is out.

Anyone know who designed the UFC 116 website?

Have to say the main event of 109 was a bit of a letdown.
I'm not sure i'm that impressed that Randy thumped Coleman, as it was a bit expected.
I will say one word about the Marquardt vs Sonnen fight: WOW. Sonnen is fucking ace right now! It will be interesting to see who they throw at him in the next year as it's likely Anderson Silva will be out for at least 6 mos while recovering from a surgery.
All in all not a bad night of fights but Rolles Gracie.... LOL.

so that was pretty predictable. coleman looks a bit old and burtout compared to Couture. i liked the little exchange between Tito Ortiz and Coleman afterwards "fuck you tito, douchebag"
- mg330
Anyone have a link to the stream?
- d_rek0
Also, very excited to see Rolles Gracie fight in the prelimns.

Couture vs Coleman:
Goes all 3 rounds. They will trade blows evenly for the first round and a half and after that they will both start to show their age. Couture may land a lucky shot after that but Coleman will probably have Randy reeling on occasion. Decision will goto Couture because let's face it, he's a legend and a favorite.- Will not speculate on others, although I am rooting for Marquardt and Swick.d_rek

I bet Randy takes it.

i have to disagree about GSP v Hardy. GSPs athleticism is almost un matched, as well as being an extremely well rounded fighter. Hardy is no amature, but I'm not sure he'll be able to last more than 2 rounds against GSP.
Mir v Carwin will be another easy win for Mir. Carwin has really strong wrestling skills, but Mir is a real BJJ technician, and with his new physical conditioning, I dont think he'll lose.
Couture v Coleman, may present some suprises, but may also be a like watching 2 old men go at it. It seems the older they get, the more it starts to look like a boxing match.
UFC 110 is the first time in Sydney, so nearly every bout on that card is a crowd pleaser. Should be very entertaining.
- carwin is 11-0 w/ 6 TKOs & 5 Submissions. This will be the fight where people realize hes the real deal.baseline_shift

I think Couture vs Coleman is one of the worst card headliners in UFC's recent history. I'd disagree and say a lot of their recent events have really fell below par.. though you can't entirely fault them given the insane amount of consecutive injuries their top fighters suffered (including every single division's champion except BJ Penn!) That shit has really wreaked havoc on their roadmap for 2010 so far.
- yeah, agreed. Rough for late '09. Early '10 is lookin good though.baseline_shift
- and yeah, the Couture Coleman fight should have been a headliner 10 years ago.baseline_shift
