Morning traffic on Interstate 80. There's always traffic, it's just a question of how much. Could be the sun, or today there was a stalled bus on the shoulder. OH NO!
I pay $2 in tolls each day. Not a big deal, but I refuse to sign up for EZ-PASS and I use quarters to pay my tolls. So I need to constantly keep a supply of quarters.
And let's just face it, most people can drive just fine. It's not that hard of a task. But all it takes is one or two morons to fuck up a whole bunch of people's ride to work, which happens more times than not.
Saving graces are polarized sunglasses, fresh home brewed coffee, a well stocked iPod, and a very good morning radio show on 91.5 FM.

I have a 35 minute walk to the office. I could take TTC but, really, why would I *choose* to do that? Besides, it's the only exercise my lazy ass gets.

Can you just make some drawings of people getting slammed into poles, stuck between closing doors, tripping while entering/exiting, flying into someone sitting down when the bus/subway stops, getting dragged by their large backpacks still on their back, etc. That'd be cool.

gripe: when subway car fills up with loads of school kids or a huge tourist group while im heading to work. i need my quiet wake up commute like all the other commuters.
love: predicting which tourists will fall / stumble when the train starts.

People insisting on gripping on to the hand rail for dear life even when the train has stopped causing me to have to limbo underneath their arm to get off the train.

It takes me 15 minutes to get to work, and I barely have to go outside so I don't even wear a coat.

On average 1 hour to commute from the sticks to downtown Detroit. Hate the drive but love the sticks. Totally worth it.

I have to ride my bike for 10 minutes! Really sucks :(

pushy people who have no concept of personal space.

At least you don't have to drive through road closures and tourists in the next two weeks.

Single Track tunnels in the NYC Subway.
If a train breaks, you sit and wait with no way to alert your office. At least on multi-track trains they can re-route and alternate trains.

Women on TTC (Toronto Transit) who look at me like I am going to attack them simply because I am larger than they are and with a mustache and possibly listening to "strange" electronic music...
The feeling that no one can trust one another because of so much anonymity...

I have a mind-numbing 0:05 second commute from my bedroom to home office, 12 long steps. Enough said.
