I'm going up to the park on the north side of Chicago later to take some pics and hang out with the crew from a skate/snowboard shop up the street.
Always some good bowl skaters and bikers there. But for every good street skater that's actually good, there are a dozen kids that could be if they only learned how to ride and push.
Back in high school and college, everyone I skated with pushed hard and rode fast. Street spots mostly, sometimes an indoor park in Dallas or another town. I want to scream at kids now and tell them they'll never grind or slide anything if they're only going 1 mile an hour. I know I'm one to talk / I couldn't ollie well if my life depended on it. But you know what I mean right? I just want to see kids go hard at it and actually land tricks.

Damn... Raining here in Chicago. Was looking forward to being outdoors today. Nike was doing a SKATE contest downtown, and a demo and wall ride comp at a school not far away. Sucks.
