^^^ I like that playlist. No idea what your friends and family are like, but the really important thing about weddings is to get people to dance. And that means getting girls to dance, because we guys aren't exactly dancing initiators. So yeah... people get tipsy, girls dance, guys dance, couples have fun, maybe the single people end up shacking up. Play stuff that girls like; it's the key.
Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Etta James, Shangri-Las, Aretha, Jackson 5, etc. Good soul and 60s music in general (but not too many blatant greatest hits) always are a good base.
