The Elements of Typographic Style by Robert Bringhurst

Jan Tschichold
The New Typography
1928This book is excellent, particularly keeping in mind the history of the times and the author / his subsequent remarks *against* the New Typography. (So don't ignore the Preface.) Unfortunately there are some noticeable mistakes in the book; uncorrected page references, even an entire paragraph duplicated.

Making and Breaking the Grid: A Graphic Design Layout Workshop by Timothy Samara

the best typography training i've ever had was working close with an experienced art director who was either know for their type, or the firm was.

Question!
I'm looking for typeface samples that you can trace. I remember doing these in school but I can't find them online... Any links? Thanks!
