“If corporations and governments can destroy someone’s access to the modern economy as they have Wikileaks, without even pretending due process of the law (Paypal, VISA, Mastercard, Amazon, etc... were not ordered by any court to cut Wikileaks) then we simply do not live in a free society of law, let alone a society of justice.”

Julian Assange, the editor-in-chief of WikiLeaks, has been transferred to the segregation unit of Wandsworth prison where the authorities are planning to give him limited access to the internet, it emerged tonight.
***Do they think Assange will lead him to his team by giving him access? That's the only reason I can see that they'd allow him internet access. I thought it was pretty funny.

It's also nice to see how we whitewash modern colonialism in the mainstream U.S. press.

"The bravest woman in oil: Ann Pickard, Shell's chief in Nigeria, knows the true meaning of oil crisis."
This is a profile of the same person who is the Wikileaks cables gloats about controlling Nigeria's government and organizing military campaigns to bomb "militants" who object to Shell's presence in the country.
