Don't start something if you can't finish it.

Except weed and crack. Heroin sometimes. Helps ease the pain.

over a year now.. cold turkey.. it wasn't really hard to be honest.. you just wake up and you say I've had enough and you buy tons of these (sugar free ones)
and suck on them when you get an urge..
Medically speaking I think you just need 48-72 hours for nicotine (chemicals) to leave your blood in order to shake off addiction...everything else after that is purely psychological.

Reminds me of this. They used to play it at the beginning of films at the Berkeley Theater.

I quit on 1st sept last year, cold turkey after being ill with flu. I didn't really notice the withdrawal due to the flu. I started off smoking weed with herbal mix but now I don't even bother with that.
One thing is, I was a smoker for 30 yrs and it's only been the last 4/5 weeks that I have felt better. Went through feeling sick, nausea and a few bad colds getting rid of all that shit out of my body, but has been well worth it (: Oh and I put on a few pounds too, but don't give a shit.
Good luck and stick with it, it's well worth it.
I took this to remind me...
