- Total build comes in at 20lbs 1oz—not bad for an AL/CF gravel frameset!skwiotsmith
- Or 9.1kg if you prefer...regardless, this thing is quick.skwiotsmith
- Coool!! Which tires?OBBTKN
- Rene Herse Barlow Pass Extralight 700x38s. Was looking for Gravelking Slicks in 38s, but couldn't find em. Glad I ended up with the Herses tho!skwiotsmith
- Looks really fastSimonFFM
- @SimonFFM This thing rips on gravel. But for city riding, its def a quick & cushy ride with those Rene Herse tires...can't wait to get it back from the shop!skwiotsmith

- Would this actually work? I wonder if the steering needs to be locked tooGnash
- ^ I would think it would. It would also need some bracing at the bottomlemmy_k
- bars on the right are fixed in place behind the head tube, bars on the left are linked to the forks. nicekingsteven

I'm building a new MTB. Have a beautiful new SantaCruz tallboy frame that I'm going to do my dream build on (I'll post some photos as it comes together). For now I just had to share this new XTR crankset I'm going to put on the bike. I've wanted XTR since I was 15 years old reading MTB Action Magazine... 25 years later I've realized my dream. Come on, this thing is beautiful.

- Share pics when finished, and yes, it's a beautyOBBTKN
- get the santa cruz carbon wheelsets, that thing looks like a wip. the 29's are insane fast once you get to cruising speed.rootlock
- I had an Evil frame with all XTR components when I first moved to mexico back in '07, I felt like an asshole riding that thing around so I got rid of itGuyFawkes
- kinda wish I still had it now thoughGuyFawkes
- haha... I feel you on that @guy. Oh well, at least I'll be getting my money's worth.bogue
- @rootlock, my friend has those SC wheels on the bike right now. Love them. But went with a custom carbon setup from these guys:bogue

I can't stand ebikes and i hate fat biking but this is actually a contender for a 2nd vehicle or throw on a back of RV.
You can't get a dewey on a bicycle!

I'm not too keen on fat bikes either, but I do like the idea of an electric bike for the work commute in the winter. I though those treks were kind of expensive (most ebikes really) so I got one of these instead:

There's about 4in of snow coming down today so I'll know how well it handles pretty soon.
- that being said the wife's been rocking one of these all summer and it's been great cuz she can actually keep up LOLzarkonite

- Are those the cable actuated hydraulic brakes? How are they going?BuddhaHat
- Mechanical brakes. Running AXS for shifting tho.skwiotsmith
- It's a very good looking ride. Goddamn you must layer up to go riding in those conditions tho'BuddhaHat
- Nice setup!!OBBTKN
- @BuddhaHat You'd be surprised at how few layers you actually need at 30F...skwiotsmith
- @OBBTKN Thanks! Really looking forward to taking this for a spin...stupid road salt...skwiotsmith
