- Swingarm mechanics are so crazy and varied nowadays. Sweet ride!BuddhaHat
- ^ totally. This also looks like it's a beefy downhill rig.. but it's actually the most nimble lightweight full suspension XC option Santa Cruz hasbogue
- nice. This would be a solid down country.rootlock
- yeah it is. Although the wheel set I went with added a little heft.bogue
- I hear stories of carbon wheels self combusting if it gets a rock hit. I will stay with aluminum. I hate carbon. New bike will be aluminum.rootlock

- Nice stuff: http://www.horsebran….ideaist

- 'Tis nice to see well made frames/forks coming back into style, but DAMN if they aren't pricey as f**k!ideaist
- Really nice, steel frame? It's a bike lover's bike with the Hope crank, brooks saddle, and spd-sl pedals, and those bars w cable routing are wild.BuddhaHat
- How does shifting work w those levers?BuddhaHat
- No offense. Excuse my ignorance. But it looks like a basic bike to me. In light blue. Looks like an uncomfortable ride/position.monospaced
- Fair enough mono, the enthusiast in me sees the slick Zipp carbon wheels, knows that although the steel frame will be a bit heavier the extra flex will make itBuddhaHat
- comfier along with low PSI rubber, the GRX rear derailleur is top-end and will shift crisply, and the other Hope & Brooks components are light and high-quality.BuddhaHat
- It would only be uncomfortable if you weren't used to it. I do 100km rides in a similar position and it's fine. Eye of the beholder and all that I guess.BuddhaHat
- That's an ace looking bike. Only thing I'd change is the saddle. And those 303s...swoon.skwiotsmith

- I'm not into "fat tyres", but ey, this is so cool!!OBBTKN
- I've seen the Juin brakes on a few builds they're meant to be really good. What's the wheel/hub build? Proper go anywhere bike this one, very tidy.BuddhaHat
- nice!milfhunter
- I still have my Fat Chance from '98formed
- I love the color and accents. Really clean and modern.monospaced
- this is pimp..love those bars.rootlock
- @BuddhaHat It's a budget(ish) build so I built the wheels myself using Octane 1 Orbital Pro hubs, DT swiss spokes and Octane 1 Solar 27.5" rims.slappy
- Bars are Surely Sunrise, quite wide with a 15º backsweep for a cruisey, upright position. Tires are 2.1" wide to take out some of the vibrations on gravel.slappy
- DopemrAtor
- Impressed you did the wheel build yourself, good stuff! Bars are definitely setup for a cruiser position, you could ride all day.BuddhaHat
- Chuck on a Blue Lug handlebar bag for your tools, spares and snacks!
https://global.bluel…BuddhaHat - I might do that, thanks @BuddhaHat.slappy
- Nice! Glad you used a STATE. I worked on the initial 'looking for money' decks to help get this co. off the ground back in the day. Good friends there. <3PonyBoy
- milfhunter2
- nice. i have those tires. quick and grippy.rootlock
- This is rad, if you want it to roll faster and get up hills easier, chuck a set of Kojaks on it. They are over half a kilo lighter (1.2 pounds) per tyre.slappy

- @slappy Thanks for the tip! But this bike would never see a hill since i only will you use it in the Netherlands. :Pmilfhunter
- I've never seen an elastomer stem like that before, very cool. Overall a very nice classic bike.BuddhaHat
- I have considered a Redshift or Cane Creek eeSilk stem, pretty much only positive reviews. This looks like the OG version, so cool.slappy

Kids have started to want to cycle everywhere these days so yesterday went out to the garage, dusted off and cleaned my old bmx, pumped up the tyres but sadly one has a slow-leak.
Gonna put it in for a quick service.Mk2 Team Raleigh Burner I've had since I was a kid.
