Sorry for the urgency... But I was just working on a file in In Design and the IT department decided to pull out my ethernet cable (yes, I know).
Now am finding it impossible to open the file or drag it on to my desktop. I'm sure there's something I can do in Terminal that will allow me to update the last possible version (any version is better than none).
Any help greatly appreciated.
cheers

uhm. sometimes in indesign if shit happens there is still that temporary locked file. you can try to delete that locked file and it should open at the last saved point.

Probably corrupted. Adobe strongly urges you to never work on files on remote servers.

try renaming the file

Why are you even allowed to work directly off the server? Use a decent deploy script

Shouldn't the IT department offer a solution to this one?

have you tried plugging the cable back in?

this just happened at our office. had to restart the server, the files came back, and there was a temp file too. all was ok.
