She returned to Egypt, and was repeatedly raped and beaten where there was a mob of 200 people. She's going to be mentally scarred for a very very long time.

mono,
put 2 millions people in a closed space and it's pretty sure you'll find some fuckn asshole,
she did get saved by "saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers."
not a fuckn excuse though :(

not blaming anyone, but who decided to send their blondest reporter to cover this? Esp since they were ousting their pro-US president.
- can you imagine if they said 'we aren't allowing you to go because you are blonde and attractive'.....set
- blonde, ok lets rape her???
wtf does it has to do with her?georgesIII - the only blonde head in a sea of black. She represents America or the west._niko
- there is a REASON christiane amanpour does all the assignment for CNN in this region...identity
- totally agree niko.
the CBS boss shouldnt have allowed it.Hombre_Lobo

Fucking cunts.
Fuck you, Egypt.
- stupidest comment ever,
for 30 years mubarak was funded by the US, fuck you egypt for sure....georgesIII - why on earth would you respond like that ? I have no allegiance to any country, just non-rapists.mikotondria3
- why does rape has to do with Egypt??georgesIII
- i understand mikos rage, but you cant generalize.
i think miko was really saying, 'fuck you, rapist cunts'Hombre_Lobo - thank you, yes.
I'm not an idiot, Georges, even when I deliberately sound so.mikotondria3 - Don't hate on a country cause there is a rapist there!HAYZ1LLLA

She was a gung ho reporter always putting herself in the action. I remember her doing a report in Afghanistan in the middle of a battle.
- Hombre_Lobo0
jesus fucking christ.
i hope someone find those evil bastards and tortures them until a very slow and painful death. This is horrific.
- Hombre_Lobo0
If i was the head of CBS, i wouldnt have allowed any women to go reporting. not in such a hostile environment.
Its just too dangerous.
- dude she's hardcore,
and why the veiled mysoginy,
not a personal attack, but woman reporter should go to war zone, they're woman not childrengeorgesIII - they're woman not childrengeorgesIII
- im not sexist in anyway, but rape is much more common in undeveloped countries, seems far too risky to me.Hombre_Lobo
- 'not a personal attack', cheers bro, i know your cool <3 :)
^looks like balls on my face :/Hombre_Lobo
- dude she's hardcore,

I have never heard of anything happening like this in the us ever and we have had some pretty epic riots, killing random white dudes yes but not one rape I can remember.

yeah I think they might have groped her and hit her but I have not read raped anywhere.. not that there is much difference at this point but just saying for her sake.. groping and beating up is at least something you can recover from....
It's awful nonetheless.
- Id rather my wife or daughter be gropped and hit rather than raped. Big difference.epigraph
- yeh, as grim as it is to classify it, penetrative is the thing that will scar her. ofcourse groping and beating is fkn horrific.Hombre_Lobo
- yeh epigraph, there is a huge difference, see my previous note.Hombre_Lobo

In the city that I grew up in, there was a huge annual event where colleges will come and gather at our city. There were countless rape incidents on the streets. So it has nothing to do with where it is - whether it's in the US or Egypt.
- @duhsighpixellette
- fucking humansset
- really? crowds of guys raping women in the streets? never heard about it.duhsign
- @ duhsign- google. "NYC Puerto Rican Day Parade Sex Assaults"e-pill
- oh yeh, a lot of that day is caught on tape, if you still dont believe what you say you dont.e-pill
- here.. http://str8nyc.com/2…e-pill
- goldieboy0
The fact she was reporting, as mono said, the celebrations makes this story hard to swallow. She'd been out there for days reporting during the riots etc and when you think all is well this shit happens. Madness

I was wondering about the overwhelmingly male crowd and the gender issues that remain there (especially in certain cultures compared to others). I can't say I'm surprised something like this would happen, which is sad if you think about it. This is absolutely horrible.
