Hey there, Sunday QBN!
A friend of mine is opening a cafe in Brooklyn. We have chalkboard surfaces that we want to paint the menu on, as well as the logo–I had a guy lined up, but now he's out of the country.
Anyone do this type of work that's in the NYC area? I can't say how much they will pay, because they want to talk to the artist and let him/her look at at the space before giving a quote, etc etc. but the job is coming up pretty quick.

Seriously great–going to contact her tomorrow morning! Anyone have more leads? I'm sure the restaurant owners would like to talk to more than one artist, but we'll see.

I like her stuff. If you want a name that people in New York will be familiar with, James De La Vega is well known for the chalk in NYC.

can Dana recommend anyone? i wonder if jessica hische would take it on. seems all those calligraphic letter ladies go though Louise Fili, don't they. post a sign up in dumbo and i bet you'd get better hits than craigslist.
