my buddy knew this guy who worked on the set of this TV show that was on USA Network a few years back from 1pm-4pm daily. It took place in a studio that was made to look like a coffee/donut shop and all these kids in their mid 20's were sitting there drinking their coffee ... the show was USA Live hosted by Bertice Berry. She would ask questions about life and stuff and we the kids would talk for a few minutes live on air. Then the show would cut to shows like Peoples Court and Love Connection. and in between segments she would have celebrity guests on like MTV's Ed Lover and movie critic Michael Medved. So during a commercial break she bee-lines her way towards me and my buddy... Now me, I'm a bit camera shy.. ok I fucking hate cameras and the thought of being on live TV was wicked scary to me... so here she comes all big & black and comes to me and my buddy and says "ok, I'm gonna squeeze between you 2 and when we get back from commercial the 3 of us are gonna sing kumbaya" .. my heart rate was off the fucking charts .. next thing you know the camera guy who is point the biggest camera ever is giving us the countdown .. in 5 .. 4.. 3 .. 2 .. "Hey guys I'm here with 2 of my friends annnnnd, I dont know, lets sing something shall we? "Kumbaya mah lord Kumbaya" meanwhile I had made up my mind that there was no way I was fucking singing Kumbaya on Live TV.
So she realizes that my friend who is seated on her left is singing with a big smile on his face and I wasn't singing at all. and so she throws her giant elbow at my side and says "SIIIIING MOTHERFUCKER" .. Horrified and in pain I'm thinking wait what? motherfucker? arent we on live? .. everyone in the studio is laughing their asses off except for me and she is like "ha ha just kidding were gonna do another take."
you should have seen my face. priceless.. we did another take and that cleaner one aired.
