I got it on my new MBP last month and don't mind it too much. I wish that Spaces hadn't been messed with, but that's my only real gripe.

I'm not a fan of a lot of things in Lion: interface lag, launch pad, auto save, versioning, local time machine. Seems like a lot of crap and cruft getting made in the file system.

Lion forced document versioning drives me nuts. Closing a file now equals saving it in the most recent state and wasting your hard drive with all past states.
I hope when Adobe implements it they will give an option to turn that crap off.

snow leopard has been the most stable o s I've ever worked with, and so it will be for the next year or so.

I hadn't had any issues til recently... I'm guess it's this last update, 10.7.2. Now my scrollbars are a mess. They disappear until i resize the window. Other than that, it's fine. CS5.5 just works.

Lion is annoying me more and more. Right now, Textedit has frozen, refusing to swap between windows, save or even force quit. Safari randomly keeps deciding to freeze up and that all tabs need to be reloaded. Preview is slow as a dog.

^ Bump for solution please. And no, I don't have a fucking track pad, nor am I getting one.
- sys prefs > Mission control > those rows of combo boxes bottom right set thisanimatedgif

Almost amazing, everything works so nice and smooth, lots of little details making my life easier, but...
WTF is up with expose!? mission control is fucking retarded, I want my old expose back, anyone has any advice?
- meffid0
I want to press the scroll button to activate dashboard. I've ALWAYS had it like this. How the fuck do I do it? Mouse prefs have normal tracking and speed etc and no scroll button function.

"Any why is there yet another way to launch an app and switch between windows? Expose, Mission Control"
Expose doesn't exist along side Mission Control, MC is just the all windows expose mixed with spaces.
Worst thing for me is Preview and the mouse acceleration. Preview used to open fast and do it's job perfect, now it's hit and miss if it opens or not, and it opens a bunch of shit you last looked at and exporting a jpeg version has become a 5 step process thanks to Versions/Autosave

noticing a big slow down in lion since I got my new macbook pro 3 weeks ago. I can never quit any cs5 apps they always have to be force quit for some reason
- same here with cs4, but they did it in snow leopard as well.dMullins

in honour of jobs I installed Lion yesterday...
iCal is AWFUL. Really bad. That mustard faux leather texture... wow. It looks like some OS add-on that you'd see packard bell paste ontop of windows in the 90's.
Mail and iCal still aren't playing nice with google, all clumsy.
Any why is there yet another way to launch an app and switch between windows? Expose, Mission Control, Dock, Launch Pad... it's all a mess.
Someone posted here about Apple and scope/feature creep. Very true.
I hope they get back on track with their software... Lion, FCPx and their obsession with the iOS touch/consumer market aint looking good...
- ps - everything else is great. just a lot easier to write the negatives i guess...inteliboy

love it, works perfectly fine. no crashes, no issues, feels smooth and quick. I only have applications that have been updated for lion so no app issues.
haven't found any problems or bugs

no problems so far. everything works smoothly. find it snappier.
most people complain though...

I haven't upgraded yet. I really like Snow Leopard and don't use the trackpad that much to take advantage of all of the new shit.
I'll be getting a new MacPro whenever (if) that comes out. I'll probably switch to Lion then, just to have the latest from Apple.

wifi is horrible. Doesn't automatically connect about 90% or gives you error the the connection times out, or asks for the password over and over....
- doubt that's a Lion issue, but what do I know? My machines have no wifi problems running itmonospaced
- Macbook Air? there's an update that addresses some wifi issues.zarkonite

Hoping to get a new MBP in the next couple of weeks. Not sure if I will want Lion but it will probably come with it. I want to migrate everything on my current MBP to the new one.

i came pretty close to upgrading, but this changed my mind reallllly quick:
http://store.apple.com/us/review…
bizarre move to just completely drop support for all those apps, games, and office as well.
- jon_d0
