The recent riots in London over the weekend are being linked video games.
An unnamed police constable was quoted in the London Evening Standard today saying, "Go home, get a takeaway and watch anything that happens on TV. These are bad people who did this. Kids out of control. When I was young it was all Pacman and board games. Now they're playing Grand Theft Auto and want to live it for themselves."

The youth doesn't want to work hard anymore. All they want is... everything without any efforts. Like the people on tv and inter-netz.

All I can say those kids are cunts, I don't care if they are wealthy, sons of a millionaire designer, or chavs.
One doesn't go on rioting because it's fun and then going for a brand new TV for free or an iPhone or some clothes. And then say it's because they don't have opportunities or some bullshit.
I was born in Caracas and I was there in 1989 when the "Caracazo" happened, basically the favelas took on the streets and broke into supermarkets because food wasn't anywhere to be found (supermarket owners knew a devaluation of the currency was impending and they hid all the food in order to remark prices once the devaluation was in place). So all hell broke loose and people were taking huge pieces of cow back to their shanty towns to eat.
When I see these London riots all I see is spoiled first world kids that look for an stupid excuse to riot.

At this stage there is no evidence that the non police gun found at the scene was fired during the incident http://bit.ly/lXVrgZ"

'A 68-year-old man who was critically injured as he tried he tried to stamp out a fire during riots in west London has died, Scotland Yard has said.'

^ true.
Perhaps the other 99% good citizens of London ought to come out of their houses and all line the streets of london. face this 1% of idiots.

Personally the only possible way I can see for humanity to sort itself out is for some sort of mass extinction to take place. Then the few that survive can rebuild and learn from the past mistakes. Meteor, alien invasion.... earth changes. Bring it.
Or ideally.... some kind of scientific rapture. As we path through a higher vibrational region of space, anyone vibrating on a negative level gets deaded, or left behind in the negative plane of existence - 'hell'.... while everyone vibrating on the higher frequencies of love and kindness get to transcend to the new utopia.
Not that I would make it.

i wonder what would happen if this was going on in america. i'd imagine the cops would shoot plenty of people. as awful as the riots are, and as hypothetical as them happening in america would be, i can't say i'd have that much confidence in authority here to deal with them effectively / humanely.
