Our guest this month is DVATE from Melbourne..
Also we soft launched our new website.. still needs some tweaking but given we were somewhat forced to do it due to the last one getting malware constantly, its better than nothing- Congrats, almost 10 years!!!! I also like that you are including images of the artist work along with the Podcast.utopian

- true. or some variation of a montana or so can, that doesn't get the artist in © trouble. also, the image looks like bad photoshop.uan
- Warhol is a bigger brand than spray can brands though. He's such a big brand that the spray can doesn't even referrence him instead it's another brand.palimpsest
- Writing graffiti on it is too much on the nose, on top of that in a script font.palimpsest
- If the artist was using used cans then he wouldnt get in trouble. Giving those old cans a new lease of life too ;)microkorg

Got an invite to this event in a couple of weeks, the line-up is pretty insane. Painting alongside some of my childhood heroes, will need to do some serious drawing. (no pressure)
-- kudos bro.. who else is paintingautoflavour
- So far I know it's Loomit, Won ABC, Toast, Sender, Alex Senna, Romance from Copenhagen, Maderoid and a daft guy from Scotland, hehe.PhanLo

This is quite a bad ad for the cap, but I use transversal caps all the time to do skinny outlines, by cutting the tiny bit of plastic that makes it a chisel line the paint spits out the cap getting almost pencil thin lines, so making it adjustable is pretty exciting.
I've found the normal chisel caps rarely block up compared with the maclaim skinny's which have a smaller valve.

Futura 2k show in Buffalo at the moment.
Heading to Chicago soon for a family holiday. Really thinking about ditching the wife and kids one afternoon and catching a 1hr flight over there to go to the exhibition.
Love his work, a hero and inspiration for me, has been for decades. This is an opportunity not to be missed methinks!

question for PhanLo and other muralists on here, I've read somewhere that artists get $ 20-60 per sq foot depending on skill level reputation etc, is this about right? how many paid commissions do you do and how many do you do for free/exposure?
so a wall on the side of a 5 story building can earn you like $75k in the mid-range?
- I've painted a gable for £1000 before, 4 stories, did that so I could get the experience of using a lift. After that mostly it's about 5-6 grand.PhanLo
- but painting mega murals is rare where I live, folk just won't pay and the planning is a nightmare. Unless it's for a drinks company, then it's money talks.PhanLo
- We've been trying to paint some murals in the city here and it's been in the planning for 3 years. I'll be dead before it happens, lifers in the council are...PhanLo
- ...so painful to deal with. So slow and visionless.PhanLo
