JUST USE THE FUCKING IMAGES FROM APPLE'S SITE FOR FUCKS SAKE!
Christ. You sound like a fucking idiot even questioning any of this. Like you think the ghost of Steve Jobs is gonna track you down and sue your nonexistent ass.

I'm not worried about the ghost of Steve Jobs coming after my nonexistent ass. This isn't about whether I'd get caught. I believe in doing things on the up and up, regardless of who's watching. I'm under no illusion as to how miniscule I am.
Geez. Asked for some simple help and this thread went bananas.

You were given help. The answer is that if you're holier than thou religious morals won't allow you to use Apple's images then there is no way around it. Logo or not, the design of hardware is copyright.
- but not your own personal photos of it... otherwise every photo of a car or fridge would be a problem.Amicus

Designers: So, this is what we're envisaging for your ipad app - looks pretty cool huh?
Client: Duh, i don't understand. Why did you waste our time with this trollop!?
Designers (with exactly the same designs except on ipad mock-up): What about this?
Client: ooooooohhhh, aaahhhhhhh... let's do it! (High fives ect..)

Acting like an asshole is never helpful to anyone. Several people were helpful in this thread, but I could've done without most of the posts.
Where in this thread or any other have I said or implied that I'm holier than you or anyone else? I'm no better than anyone here. Not by a long shot.
I must be missing something. Did I ever say something offensive to you or dummies? You guys both seem pretty bitter about something. I have a hunch you're both more civil in person.
