SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Gov. Gary Herbert gave his stamp of approval Monday to a law that brings back the firing squad in the only state that has used it in the past 40 years.
Under the law, firing squads will be a backup method if lethal injection drugs aren’t available.
Utah and other states have struggled to keep up their inventories as European manufacturers opposed to capital punishment refuse to sell the components of lethal injections to U.S. prisons.

Perhaps the guy shouldn't have run away, but you don't shoot someone in the back 8 times just because they ran away. The guy looked like he wouldn't be able to outrun an old lady anyway.
Can you imagine if this was a member of your family killed like this?

America is officially fucked; if this were in some far away corner of the world, it would still be shocking... but in 2015; America, it's just insane. These cops are chicken shits of the highest order and that cop should be strung up; hung, drawn and quartered.
All U.S police should carry compulsory cameras as part of the uniform and the cameras should record both to the unit itself as well as to the cloud, in realtime; and if there's any tampering, then that is deemed an offence. Every single interaction and movement should be recorded; they are supposed to protect the citizens but they deal out death penalties like skittles...
