It's too damn easy for these mentally unstable, likely medicated fucks to get a gun. There are gun laws that need to be more strictly enforced but also laws that need to be enacted to make the process of gun ownership much more restrictive.

The frequent random mass shootings are example enough to show the US has a uniquely unhealthy metal health issue. There are violent unwell people in this country and it goes much further than simply calling a psychiatrist for someone. We at least need to acknowledge that this is a violent culture some of us live in.

It's really unfortunate that the founding fathers didn't have the foresight to include a "Right to go to school without getting murdered" into the constitution.

    • yep true. weird thing is these dumbass gun laws made sense at the time - new forntiers and all that but now they just seem ridiculous.fadein11

Do you think those that are anti self defense are complicit in the murder of the defenseless?

Take chicago for example. The highest murder rate and the strictest control control.

Feels good to paint everyone with a broad brush doesnt it?

    • Anti gunners = pro murderersHayoth
    • In 2013 IL average gun death 8.6/100k people. Compare to LA 19.2/100k people. I'd say chicago is doing pretty good relatively.pango
  • sofakingback0

Im not a passionate arguer of this topic but I always chuckle a little when I hear someone mention Chicago having strictest gun laws and there still being gun violence.

Look at it this way, you can't control the presence of guns in a city when its surrounded by a country that allows you to get guns and ammo with a over 18 ID.

    Just food for thought:

1: The US has dry counties right? What do those citizens do? Drive down to the next town that sells booze and bring it back.

2: Mexico has the strictest gun laws ever! you can't even own ammo! why so much gun violence? majority of guns come from the US. So who cares about buy the guns there.

Its hilarious to me how people can be so ignorant and not put this together.

Truth right here. the rest is ridiculous.

    • gangs dont get guns legally. every legal gun can be traced if used in a crime. your argument is invalid.yurimon
    • As for escalated violence in mexico? look up fast and furious scandal, you need a little history lesson about crime profitability and war on anything laws.yurimon

"Today, about six-in-ten whites (61%) prioritize gun rights over gun control. By contrast, only about a third of blacks say this (34%) while six-in-ten (60%) say it is more important to control gun ownership. And Hispanics prioritize gun control over gun rights by a wide 71% to 25% margin."

White people need guns to protect themselves against colored people.
USA is a failed state and nothing is going to heal it.

YES it was common to see over a hundred rifles in windows. And guess what bitches? no one locked their doors either. We didn’t have a gun problem then and we ain't gots one now.
