- ...recognise a fucked up policy in a fucked up country, make an effort to be part of a solution.Morning_star
- This saddens me because it is uniquely American. It's sad that America has a unique relationship with guns and gun violence. I wish it could be healthier.monospaced
- you mean the news are obsessed with gun violence? and you guys?yurimon

- What are you saying Yuri. That the US hasn't got a gun problem? it's ALL exageration? Dead kids are an exceptable consequence?Morning_star

_How does mocking tragedies make a positive difference_
Nobody here, especially me, is mocking the tragedy. What you are witnessing is the incredulity and exasperation, manifesting itself as ridicule, for the common chants often heard from US citizens in support of their glorious (or not so glorious) country.
It is beyond mine (and I suspect a lot of others) understanding how you could possibly be pro gun with the constant and tragic daily reminders that the US, uniquely, has a huge problem. As I'm in the UK this is to a certain extent, a geographical and cultural thing which, I readily admit, I do not fully understand.
Comparing a gun death to a car accident or a disease is rediculous and offensive. Surely you can see that a vehicle death is an entirely different occurrence. A guns sole purpose is to efficiently deliver terror, destruction and death. That is all. Nothing more.
Because a guns purpose is so pure It seems to me that severely controlling or banning them would have an immediate and positive effect. How could it not? And those that will bang on about 'rights' should realise times have changed and maybe 'principles' are adding to the ever increasing death toll.
- Coming from a rural area i see guns used quite regularly for recreation and sport. They don't bug me. Neither does people killing people. Wether gun or sword.********
- Actually sometimes u get people shooting across a trail, and i stop and wait until i can get their attention. A lill annoynace but sound keeps big cats away********
- It has it roots in ancient UK common law. if you like i'll get you a name of a book if you want to at least to understand. I understand your frame of mindyurimon
- because used to think the same thing, but like anything else its not a clear cut issue. i took alot of time to study law and came to respect what it is,yurimon
- death stats are death stats. reason i bring it up because there is certain bias in people which is primal and can be easily politically exploited.yurimon
- EVery country has its culture and patriotic views. How would English react if you told them to give up fox hunting or give Falkland islands back to Argentina?youngdesigner
- well true but there is a reason its called a right. and why it was but behind freedom of speech. its not to be taken lightly, i personally not fan and myyurimon

- Well said Morning_monospaced
- haha mono cracks me up. he says he doesnt completely understand and gave his opinion absent of the understanding. which is honest n all good. mono lol.yurimon
- mono, when you going to stop being a tool broh.yurimon
- i appreciate your response ill post something for more opinions.yurimon
- you must have me confused with someone else.monospaced
- I'm not Morning_Starmonospaced
- dont worry didnt mistake. just your response i found funny.yurimon
- Now I see that you were referring to Morningstar and not me. I felt his post was put despite his admitted lack of understanding.monospaced
- And at the same time a huge part of our own people are having a hard time understanding the current state of things because it's gotten so ridiculous.monospaced
- I know the history just like you and why this right is so important. Yet I agree here that comparing gun deaths to auto accidents is not really productive.monospaced
- well if you share the same personal opinion its understandable. only thing we have is stats n if they are true.yurimon
- I'm not here trying to have the same old circular discussion. We've done that already. I was simply giving Morningstar a nod, you took it personally. Sorry.monospaced
- Carry on with your 50+ side comment marathons. Pretend I'm not here.monospaced
- there is no excuse for ridiculing the murder of innocent people. it's despicable behavior********
- Well said mono.pango
- <add to feed>********
- lol pango, another one. It is comparative because it has one thing in common. death. the psychological factor of how you react to one over the other is mindyurimon
- boggling to me once you understand the political environment your in and how you are emotionally exploited.yurimon
- and mono, its all of your personal opinion by the way. this is the most emotion, iv seen morning star in his posts. no taken personal by the way.yurimon
- if you want to be productive lets get to the nitty gritty.yurimon
- Blog me once shame on me, blog me twice...
The point is that you shouldn't brog people.******** - lol just trying to see if i can trigger as much reply. hmm quite a few. but not as much. :Ppango
- "we aren't mocking tragedies, we are ridiculing them" -morning star
dipshit******** - Apologies to you Gilgamush, It appears I had wrongly credited you with some intelligence.Morning_star
- that's nice, keep up with the paragraphs of excuses that fail to justify the obviously morally bankrupt behavior. you yourself admit that you don't understand w********
- what is going on over here so a little word to the not so wise, keep your stupid fucking mouth shut if all you have to say about somebody else's tragedy is********
- mockery and ridicule. be a decent human being, try it on, it feels good, you will like it********
- HaHa....HAHAHAHAHAHA... yuri and gilga reminds me of the last frame. Cmon gilga! i thought you are tougher than this. Quit trivializing what people never said.pango
- http://i.imgur.com/u…pango
- trivializing what? try again pango********
- HaHa....HAHAHAHAHAHA... yuri and gilga reminds me of the last frame. Cmon gilga! i thought you are tougher than this. Quit trivializing what people never said.pango

- Do you behave like a twelve year old in everyday life as well********
- Only when I'm talking to an eleven years old!pango
- It keeps me sane. I would have gone crazy is I'm serious about everything I'm serious about.pango
- So murder isn't one of those things you are serious about then huh********
- pango, thats not sane either. oh well.yurimon
- I don't murder. Ya not what I'm not serious about.
Yurimon. How are you to judge who's sane when you can't be sure what sane is?pango - so when somebody gets murdered do you think it's all right to sneer and ridicule. obviously not, even a twelve year old knows that pango, don't play that game********
- Ridicul the victim or the offender or the situation?pango
- Please quote the qoobs who has ridicul the victim.pango
- Murder is not a game! You should know better!pango
- the situation is that when someone gets murdered in the u.s. by a gun these depraved fucks come on here and laugh about it because they think guns are bad.********
- callow and heartless bunch of sick fucks so lost in their vindictive hatefulness for middle america that they think this shit is funny********
- and you pango, you are the court jester babbling nonsense like a shallow simpleton, the comic relief you try to provide is inappropriate right now********
- Are they criticising the situation or the victim? You should tell everyone to stop raping you. It might work.pango
- Basic human decency is a big joke to you huh********
- And the problem is not criticism pango, the problem is ridicule. It's inappropriate, just like your weak attempts at humor on the subject********
- i mean common, this is pango.
https://d33lglhhb8q6…yurimon - what you expect out of this dude, some good design maybe but thats boot it. like tryin to milk rocks.yurimon
- Haha that photo is awesome.
i mean cmon if we can milk rock we would have done it. brand new industry man! and those vegan twats can finally have dairy!pango - nope. ridicule the victim is inappropriate. ridicule the policy of a nation is not inappropriate. quit crying rape!pango
- @youngdesigner - fox hunting is banned in the UK.fadein11
- except for the royal family.yurimon

2. Give Falklands back - Are Falklanders causing thousands of unnecessary deaths a year?HAYZ1LLLA

994 mass shootings in 1,004 days: this is what America's gun crisis looks like
The Oregon school shooting is evidence that the US response to gun violence ‘has become routine’, Barack Obama says. The data compiled by the crowd-sourced site Mass Shooting Tracker reveals an even more shocking human toll: there is a mass shooting – defined as four or more people shot in one incident – nearly every day

- * stares *Morning_star
- if you threaten someone with a gun in my presence i will engage you with appropriate force, which is shooting you until you stop moving********
- or should only criminals have guns and defending yourself be illegal. you guys are soft in the brain********
- the penalty for all crimes shall be DEATH!sarahfailin
- you're stupid********
- Gilgamush am I right in thinking that, In your self appointed role as QBNs rational moral guardian, killing a human is 'Appropriate force' for a threat.Morning_star
- Yes, if you threaten my life by waving around a deadly weapon while commiting armed robbery, it morally and legally entitles me to use lethal force********
- My right to my life trumps your right to a jury trial, anyone with half a brain can understand that********
- You pacifists can curl into the foetal position in the corner and try to wish your way back to Kansas but I like living and don't leave it up to chance when som********
- Someone wants to threaten me with a gun********
- What if I threatened your life by running a stop sign in my car? Does that entitle you to kill me?Morning_star
- Stupid question. Take a wild guess********
- Both you and Yuri have argued that there is no difference between a gun and a car. So how do you rationalise murder in one situation and not the other.Morning_star
- Nope, I have never argued that. It's a little thing called percieved intent********
- It isn't perception, perception requires understanding. You have no way of knowing the intent. The intent is assumed, which is an entirely different ...Morning_star
- ...decision based on prejudice.
(My mistake on the gun/car thing i thought i'd read your support for Yuris point)Morning_star - no worries, it happens. if someone pulls out a gun and declares that he is robbing you, the intent is clear. if you tell me that if i don't give you my wallet,********
- that you will go get in your minivan and run me over, then you have a self defense situation if i see you making a beeline for me in your dodge caravan********
- you can evade a minivan, you can't evade a bullet. pulling a gun and demanding the money out of the register isn't a joke, especially not in chicago, all that s********
- shit about 'assumptions based on prejudice' is completely ridiculous********
- @gilga, your argument is insane. What if you shoot the armed robber, and another gun-vigilante sees you, but doesn't understand what happened.nb
- To them, it might look like a murder, if they had entered the scene at the wrong moment. In these heightened situations, people often make judgement errors.nb
- Would you then argue that this third person has the right to shoot you? They would perceive intent, killing you.nb
- Could they argue that their right to life trumps your right to jury trial?nb
- Um, I don't think you have any idea how the legal system works pal, the whole idea of self defense, at least in the north east, is that if you can run away, you********
- Are legally obligated to do so. So someone hearing shots and running in the store does not qualify.********
- I hear shots go off all the time, I don't go running in the direction of the shots though because this 'gun vigalante' bull shit you have made up doesn't apply********
- To anyone in a self defence scenario like the original post. If you threaten people with guns, sooner or later someone is going to shoot you in the back, if tha********

Rachel Hutson, 21, shot her critically ill mother, Sarah Lee Hutson, in their home while her dad was out shopping on Black Friday in 2013.
She then called her father, Donald Hutson, to tell him what she’d done — but he hung up on her because he thought she was joking.
Rachel then sent him a photo of her mother’s bloody body.
“That’s when I realized this is probably real,” Donald testified
