i read today in the times that, of the 33000+ gun deaths, most were suicides, rather than murders.
americans will never give up their guns, so it's pointless whining, just keep your head down and move on.

Wyoming for instance: it has one of the highest firearm death rates in the whole of the United States but how many homicides? Zero. Nobody killed anybody else with a gun on purpose in Wyoming in 2013. But they killed themselves in large numbers. And, nationwide, of those 33,363 Americans gunned down in 2013, 21,175 (63 per cent) were cases of suicide.

But, that editorial is wrong. The author doesn't know how to interpret stats. Or, maybe they do and are intentionally misleading you.
