And from the brilliant snake charmer mix above, a tune that I completely slept on, now an instant favorite. I'm a sucker for old timey 50s fantasy samples.

Oh No attacks UBB on this upcoming LP project - Tom Jones gets reworked.

RZA also took a swing at Tom's window break way back when...
- I really enjoyed this UBB release, even though I think the vocal samples were a *touch* overdone.skwiotsmith

https://www.youtube.…prophetone - That Quakers track is sick prophet, thank you.BuddhaHat
- And El-P is an evil genius... I loved his production for Cannibal Ox, that stuff was darkBuddhaHat
- part of the melody for the marching band in the background is Radiohead's Optimist on the Quaker's track. sick.BuddhaHat
- Most Cannibal Ox and his stuff esp Fantastic Damage has that amazing dytopian future vibe, love it, it's his sig soundprophetone
- Ridiculoid is top of the list for me https://www.youtube.…BuddhaHat
- Shit, I almost forgot about FunCrusher Plus, that was badass. https://www.youtube.…BuddhaHat

Rewinding this one lately.
- Tune is such a beast that when compared to 99% of hiphop released in past 15 years, esp past 2-3 years, it's no contest. But the kids don't even realize.prophetone
- Play this out and then put on some Black Beatles (feat. Gucci Mane) lol zzzzzzprophetone

HipHop is still dope if you accept the new styles. Change with the times, man.
- i listen to it all haha, my point is kids today are all this is the craziest rhyme style (lil yachty) and i lolprophetone
- I'm constantly looking out for new rhyme styles and sounds but last few years have been comicalprophetone
- nowadays buying way more d&b, electronic, ambient, grime... the new tophat ft. robyn for instanceprophetone
- and styles like trap which is soooooooo played... that's just crystal light miami bass, everything's a rinse cycleprophetone
- but then RTJ is born and suddenly something amazing happens, groups like RTJ popped up all the time in 80/90sprophetone
- so mike and jaime have been a bit of a beacon of hope lately haha, true thoughprophetone
- and anything stones throw related, like the amazing new oh no ubb lpprophetone
- Put up or shut up********

- so insane, my 10 year old exposed me to this dude_niko
- this dudes good. love the voice********
- my 10 yr old exposes me to new artists as well... and sone are hilarious. this tune here is like his best tune imo, but same style as mostprophetone
- honest to god, go to itunes store and listen to all the hot list tracks and top lps, it's like a blurred homogeneous trackprophetone
- i'm there like clockwork looking for anything new n great and yes there are tunes but overall it's mumble rappersprophetone
- so naturally, i force my son to listen to 80/90s hip hop (clean stuff) and he digs certain sounds like T.R.O.Y. and Run DMC (thnk god)prophetone
- I agree with prophet contemporary pop sounds the same on every front. Still this is good********
- well this is it - nowadays most latch on to a 'sound' (basic beats, mumble rapping, slow zzz) w/ some gems. Back in day no one wanted to sound like the next guyprophetone
- back in the day we walked 50 miles for firewood because no ac... okay********
- but it was good firewood hahaprophetone
- I don't like a lot of the newer stuff but i'm with since1979 on this track, it's pretty dope.BuddhaHat

Another lil moody tune like heltah skeltah leflaur is father time. around 92-95ish these dark lil 12"s were dropping... and esp in Vancouver it was a dark and moody scene. It rains a lot, lots of trees, bark...
