Would fresh blood really make a difference?
- not sure how enamored newbies would become with this place. More snark and inside jokes than anything else these dayslocustsloth

QBN simply got tired of baby sitting us, filtering endless spam, removing defamatory threads, etc... And add the recession for good measure... We should be grateful that they have not pulled the plug on this so far.

I don't post because I feel like I have nothing in common with most people: movies, comics, opinions etc. I always saw the chatbox as just that, a chatbox and I am okay with that. My serious questions always get answered somehow which is what matters. No idea why they disabled user registration, they must have thought about it thoroughly.

I really would jump to another QBN like forum, built by this community if there was active people there..

Slowly introducing invites sounds like a good idea. Some fresh faces certainly wouldn't go a miss... And younger people might help. This place is full of stagnant old gits now. Part of its charm though I guess.
Long live QBN!

that was weird, i just read a post on the previous page and i was like, i dont remember writing that.. then realised the post is like 2 years old..

Giving control of this site to the community is just right out of the question? Some of us devs could fix issues in a weekend with some git access to QBN source to push changes. </dreams>

that would mean more monitoring from the powers above, or some tweaking to the code, and that is too much work to spend on this very useless site that drives no traffic whatsoever.
If vimeo embed is too much to ask for, some kind of tweaking to the registration process must be like an impossible feature. Like Filter, that's something impossible to achieve too...
