- Wait, this is also on Disney+ ? Interesting.monospaced
- @mono, in the UK yes. Not sure about you cats in the States.Morning_star
- On Disney+ in Canada. It's a 'Stars' series. I had to create a different profile with mature content, as I only ever used Disney+ for kids stuff prior to this.monNom
- This show was DARK. So much going on. You can understand why people have issues with pharmaceutical companies when this shit happensIanbolton
- Just finished it. Really great production and performances and a horrific but all too common story.mort_

- Remember it's a business, not a fan service.********
- I don't know this show but Netflix cancels everything. They want you to keep looking for a new show to watch to replace the ones they canceled.CyBrainX

- It’s kind of a niche thing imo. Not as universal as say, mandalorianscarabin
- its boring brodoesnotexist
- Let’s be honest. It wasn’t very good past the excitement of the first 2 eps. They miffed up some big charactersnoRGB

I’m one episode in and enjoying it. Great to see Wood Harris (Avon Barksdale from The Wire) again.
- PhanLo3
- It's weird, but I quite like itPhanLo
- Based on a book written in 2014, it's about a really bad global flu pandemic and the world it leaves behind.PhanLo
- Bit of a Leftovers vibe? Looks interesting.mort_
- One of the writers of Leftovers worked on the that show too.
3 Episodes in, I quite like it. It's a limited series so hopefully it doesn't run too long.PhanLo - I just watched the first episode last night. I was thoroughly impressed. I loved the scenes of hard cuts to post apocalyptic decay and abandonment.CyBrainX
- It's also great to see Cameron from Halt and Catch Fire again.CyBrainX
- Book and thankfully the series are both great.MrT
- confused the fuck out of me so only made it to EP3 and gave upGardener
- Loving this series.stoplying
- grafician-2
- This may not end up being that bad but I never understood the fascination with this character. He had about 4 lines and wasn't involved in any major plot point.CyBrainX
- eh? he took frozen han back to jabba...hans_glib
- and he was the model for the clones > Stormtroopers, he's everywhere!
< first ep. was cool, they're following the Mandalorian "recipe"grafician - Yeah thought the same, show up in a new place, then there’s a task to perform, come back and earn freedom or some other reward. At least we know_niko
- How he escaped the sarlacc_niko
- He was also just a super bad ass. That’s what I remember as a 5yr old.hardhat
- Yeah, overrated character. But maybe this will expand his personality in an interesting way, though I doubt it, judging from the first 2 eps.jagara

The Beatles - Get Back (Disney +)
McCartney 3,2,1 (Disney +)Fascinating and at times incredible but, like running a marathon, it takes lots of effort to complete and i'm not entirely sure it was worth it.
Get Back - Witnessing the the process of writing Beatles songs was mesmerising and a privilege. The remastered film looks incredible and Peter Jackson has done his best to curate a window into the bands soul. There are some awesome, slice-of-life moments throughout, particularly the 3 Policemen towards the end and the seemingly endless amount of tea and toast.
There's a weird Peter Sellers moment and the Jon/Yoko/Heroin difficulties are there but unacknowledged. I came away thinking Harrison and Starr were consistently confined to the backseat and Paul was desperately trying to be the glue in a broken and hopeless marriage.McCartney 3,2,1 - Brilliant and insightful. However, I can't get over the Post production/After Effects work on McCartneys 'age'. Also, I don't think McCartney likes Rick Rubins lack of footwear.
Ultimately, they're worth the watch but bring snacks.
- Watching 3,2,1 I get the sense Paul is showing early signs of dementia.********
- This, and the book, are hislast round. I expect him to drop out of public view soon.********
- His last hurrah? I wouldn't be surprised.Morning_star
- I loved 3,2.1 and thought his memory was better than during Anthology 25 years ago. I loved his stories about While My Guitar Gently Weeps...CyBrainX
- ...and how John prodded Paul in to the long notes of harmony on Dear Prudence.CyBrainX
- The Let it Be marathon is a tougher thing to watch. Conflict aside, music is hard work and making an audience sit through rehearsals is a bit much to ask.CyBrainX
- I thought George came off like a hero considering that he demanded they drop the TV special deadline, and then brought in Billy Preston.CyBrainX
- I also loved how John misread the lyrics to All Things Must Pass and then suggested George keep a "mind" can blow those clouds away.CyBrainX
- @CyBrainX You've mentioned some brilliant moments and there are lots more, and I think for me that's where Get Back is redeemed.Morning_star
- I liked Get Back but thought it really was too long. I don't care what Jackson says, those 6hrs should have been cut to 3hrs.Hayzilla
- ^ I agree for a general audience but I would have gladly sat through every second they edited to make up the final 7 hours.CyBrainX
- Watching 3,2,1 I get the sense Paul is showing early signs of dementia.

Euphoria S2 debut was so good. Intense as fuck. I watched all of s1 in one day to get caught up, so all the characters were fresh in my head. But I don't even think that's necessary to enjoy that s2 episode. Definitely one of the best shows on right now.
- yeah season 1 was pretty great and fucked up. The one thing that really got me was her promoting the use of that drug. saying there's nothing else like it_niko
- surprised they would allow the romanticizing of it that given the amount of deaths it's caused over the last few years._niko
- I go between thinking they are just straight up romanticizing drug use or possibly raising awareness of how these kinds of people think, act and behave.epigraph
