I think it was really good and entertaining... Just saw it today and it was exactly what I was expecting. Go see it, you won't be disappointed.

If you're a hardened Godzilla fan, you MUST see it. If you just like G-zilz as much as the next average movie goer, but couldn't really give that much of a shit, then yes, you'll probably find the movie could use less humans, or more interesting humans, and more monster action, but will probably like what you see.

The first 40 mins got my attention but soon after I started getting bored. The end was meh... Good visuals tho'

That said, remember when that little boy is in the scene for like 10 minutes and then he's magically found by his parents again? That added a lot to the movie I'd say.

saw it and it reminded me a lot of the original movies I loved as a kid. Human character arcs are all backstory, the monsters are the drama that matters.
CGI was very good. Ranks well as an entertaining flick.

ok just saw it. beautiful as far as environments and cg. we'll done. and yeah did the original flicks justice I think. it was a little off balance as far as characters like kick ass getting too much time on screen imo.
things that made me cringe and some people even lol'd, some of the dialogue. like the pushover us army guys asking Saito, "yes dr, but can we kill it?" ... I mean c'mon grow a backbone and buy in to your own game plan, kick the dr off the bridge, yell or something. Too accommodating. And the army guy calling him Godzilla so casually in subsequent scenes made it cheeze+ for me, a small detail but I shifted in my seat every time he said it. I guess it made it more b movie ish.
also, where is Matthew Broderick and the shady crimped hair news reporter chick? they are not present. I was crushed by this.
overall though, movie was dope.

It was terrible, just terrible. The bit where the news puts the Saviour caption up caused the whole audience to groan.
Only just passible to watch if you're; deathly hungover, led on the coach and the remote is the other side of the room.

Watched it after 4 pints... the first hour or so killed my buzz.. But the last half hour saved the night.
