After Sharapova Revelation, Nootropics Sites Say Demand for Meldonium Is Surging.
anybody know what this is aboot?
https://motherboard.vice.com/rea…
"While the substance is not a total debutante on the nootropic scene, until now there were only a few mentions of “meldonium” or “mildronate” on the r/nootropics subreddit. Originally designed as a medicine for cardiac and vascular conditions, Latvian-made meldonium is known for its beneficial effects on physical recovery and endurance, which likely account for WADA’s decision to prohibit it. "
The case for the drug’s potential nootropic virtues hinges mainly on a 2013 research paper authored, among others, by meldonium inventor Ivars Kalvins of the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis (the paper states the authors have no conflict of interest).
The study suggests that meldonium can “stimulate learning and memory” and could “protect and treat neurological disorders, particularly those associated with neurodegeneration and a decline in cognitive function.”

Now the hype has died -- anyone still trying this stuff? Worth it? Recommendations?

Piracetam is quite nice. Brain toniq light used to have it, but they recently changed their formula and removed it from the ingredients.
The Piracetam effect for me takes like 10 minutes to start kicking in, and I start to feel alot more focused on the task at hand, like I start concentrating harder, and able to exert more mental energy to what I'm doing. But at the same time, I feel a slight sedation. Physically, not much effect and if any, it's not excitation it's more a calming effect.
Try piracetam + alpha GPC see if it works for you

Anyone else take Alpha Brain or similar products? I'm on week 6 of doing keto and the best part is the brain focus, mental agility you experience during it. I'm wavering between getting off keto and getting to a more balanced higher protein / lower carb diet to fuel muscle growth, and started taking Alpha Brain today to see how it makes me feel if get away from the high fat keto diet.
Anyone else?

I've tried Rogans Alpha brain and it works + helps you sleep, deep REM shit, really good, I sill have a bottle here I pop every few days irregularly,
my new thing I like A LOT is Lions Mane mushroom, that shit is amazing. learned that from Paul Stamets on JRE
this vid on Alpha Brain sold me back in the day:
everything said in this vid was accurate to my results. it's not cheap, but it works
of course you still have to eat healthy and work out n shit, you cant be a fat fuck eating carbs, sugar and pizza all day, pop a smart pill and expect results.
- Ooh, I might have to watch that Rogan Stamets interview. Stamets is A Man.
Sorry, The Man.Nairn - Ooh, this is just a clip from one of two interviews Stamets has done?

L-tyrosine is an excellent and if it works for you, it will work for your grandparents. They will love. It is like a small shot of coffee in the am,band clears brain fog. It's like &7.99, Now has the best quality.
Lion's mane, another energy booster focuser. I take them together so it's hard to say what helps me more. But what I do, because taking full dosage is so powerful, I only take like 1/2 of the recommended dosage. It's a bit more expensive too around $20.
One more thing, for the body, I take MSM (aka sulfur) supplement. This basically replacing missing lost sulfur in our bodies. It's something short of a miracle for older people to take, helping them walk again-due to body stiffness. It's helped me and helped an old friend of mine gain mobility and balance. I think reduces inflammation.
You can tell you need it if you've ever bent over for a bit of time and got stiff back when you tried to straighten? Or feel more comfortable leaning on something as you stand because of back stiffness?? Look into it.
- One thing to add about Lion's Mane, I got my 79yro dad to take it and after 6 weeks he said he could see better. I thought he was BSing, but then I checked, itrobotron3k
- Has been reported that it help with macular degeneration and improve vision!! The shit works and the crazy thing, it's just food!!robotron3k

I started taking L-Theanine and St-John's Worth last week. For my anxiety. We'll see if it works in a few weeks.

hehe, I'm not sure that St John's Wort should really be considered a 'nootropic'.
Anyway Ben - watch out of that stuff - it's good stuff and works, but if you start taking too much of it, it does weird things to light sensitivity in your skin and eyes.
Back when I took anything and everything under the sun that would get me high, I went through quite a lot of SJW (..uh oh, that's not a good abbreviation, haha..) - one day I was sat in a room with the curtains shut, stoned and watching TV. The curtains let through a thin beam of light, which gently graced my arm. I was a bit perplexed to feel a burning sensation - like I'd been sunbathing for too long, then looking up realised tha ti was getting slight light-blindness too. Nothing bad, but jesus christ, enough to make me realise read the fine print a bit better.
It also has some concerns when used long-term too, nbut I can't recall what they are.
- yeah i read a lot before taking something. I know about the light sensityvity ;)Bennn
- its supposed to be a problem when you take more than the normal posology.Bennn
- But they say to wear sunglasses when its sunny just in case, wich i do all the time anywayBennn
- its still winter, so not much sun. I will stop taking it this Spring/SummerBennn
