Evil Corp name, seriously?
Fight Club plot- it could have been so much better.. e corp makes it sound like some bad cyber tv show from 1997autoflavour
- For some reason it works. At first it confused me but with his narration to the audience, it works to break that 4th wall and keep it moving.monospaced
- Can't tell if they are trying to be like a comic book or just have really bad writersyuekit
- I think it is sort of like a comic book, because the writing is actually pretty good for the narration, at least.monospaced

Its Fight Club with a touch of Dexter. Replace fighting with tech and you get this show. I really like it though.
- so every show were someone has an inside monologue and uses an hidden "talent" to fight enemies is dexter?GeorgesII
- inside monologue = fight club.
keeping a record of victims = dexter.ArmandoEstrada - working on the 'inside'=dexter.
imaginary friend who is also you = fight club.ArmandoEstrada - this show is basically 95% FC and DX.ArmandoEstrada
- Also the main argument laid out on the 1st episode is the same as in fight club, erase all credit card information to reset societyernexbcn
- Mr. Robot wants to do it with computers, Tyler Durden by blowing up the credit card companies HQsernexbcn

so are all the F-Society people a figment of his mind, or just Slater's character?
or is it a bluff and they're all real?

I sense a good deal of pretentiousness in this show.
Hacking, drugs, evil capitalism, anonymous... none of these are foreign to Qbn'ers here, but it is to white collar people. But I'll keep watching it.
Also they shouldn't have switched the Shayla character. The first one was hotter.
- calling a tv show pretentious ehehheh
only on qbn :)GeorgesII

i keep looking for clues that some or any of the fsociety arent real.. so far its only slaters character.. but even then they had that argument at the arcade the lines being clean, which would indicate he is actually there.
that said, its definitely watchable..

I really enjoyed the first two episodes but it went downhil from there, I thought. I never felt compelled to watch part episode 5.

Tough call on this show... The first episode locks you in for sure... then ep 2 loosened it's hold on me... ep 3 and 4... downhill the show went...
... but then 5... Damn... pretty incredible episode.
So I went ahead and watched the most recent and I'm finding myself feeling like I just watched ep 3 or 4 again...
I'll hang in there for the full season and see where this goes...
- Felt the same as you. Ep 1 was delicious but was losing my appetite by Ep 5. THen dragged right back in. Gonna watch Ep 6 tonight.HAYZ1LLLA

I'm liking it a lot so far. There's some things it needs help with, but I think it's at the very least an original story that is casted and shot pretty well.
