U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday that he was happy to report "tremendous success" with regards to Turkey agreeing to a ceasefire, saying a bit of "rough love" was needed to get it.
He also thanked the Kurds for their help in defeating ISIS.
Trump said in order to come to the ceasefire, they had to come to an "unconventional solution."

Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Donald Trump's recent letter to him broke with "diplomatic and political courtesy."
The letter "was not in line with diplomatic and political courtesy. We will not forget this lack of respect. This is not a priority for us. But when the time comes we would like it to be known that we will take the necessary steps."

So Trump is apparently referring to the emoluments clause as the "phone emoluments clause" now that he's had to back off hosting the G-7 at his Miami resort.
