- Wouldn’t be a bad price if you’re early career and if it was a president who was at all respected by anyonenb
- How much did Obama charge?monospaced
- Good questionnb
- no it isn'tmonospaced
- Great questionnb
- Obama charges $400,000 to speak at your event. Obviously this includes at least one photo with him.nb
- It would not be uncommon for Obama to speak at events that cost $5k or even $25k donation to enter.nb
- So, $400K for a speaking engagement is not atypical for someone like him. Those "donations" were not for his campaign, they were for other organizations.monospaced
- His speaking fee isn’t a donationnb

- I try to imagine how dumb I would think these people were if I were pining for their donations and support. Were I grifting I'd respect them less than I do now.whatthefunk

- "Daddy is really mad...you're getting spanking because you are a bad girl."
Dude is creepy AFutopian - such a weird AF analogy to use, in any circumstance, but definitely politically. And people are cheering this on, like "yeeeeaaaah, daddy's home, woohoo!!"Ianbolton
- OMG, What the actual fuck? "You're getting a vigorous spanking because you're a bad girl"??? Okay, Tucker, you fucking loon...elahon

Rudy Giuliani has been ordered to turn over his Manhattan apartment, a Mercedes and a variety of other personal possessions — from his television to a shirt signed by Joe DiMaggio — to two Georgia election workers who won a $148 million defamation judgment against him.

Loser.ideaist - Rudy Giuliani, who is so low on cash he filed for bankruptcy, says that Donald Trump owes him about $2 million in unpaid legal feesfooler

- Hero?mort_
- only if Trump doesn't win the election, otherwise Trump will wave the wand and everything goes away.ShenanigansTV
- He was a bit of a hero per sei after 9/11. But quickly went downhill, especially when he aligned himself with Trump.dbloc
- Maybe hero wasn't the right word but it word but it worked with the slogandbloc
- People actually liked him back then.dbloc

Has Joe Rogan explained why he flip-flopped on having Trump as a guest? He told lex Friedman on air that he had turned down Trump as a guest multiple times, and he had no interest in helping him. Was all that a lie? It would be a clever way to get Trump to come on his show

So what's the consensus on this Trump/Rogan appearance? I won't have 3 hours until tomorrow, but I'm not seeing any comments other than "Wow, it's 9am in New York and I'm watching this!" and "SO BRAVE!"
Is he as incoherent and babbling as he is in his campaign speech videos? Does he spout the same bullshit lies and talk about Kamala not working at McD when she was a kid?
- 3 hours listening to those goons? Nah.nb
- i have no time for this shit.renderedred

Joe Rogan doesn’t know much about the world, but he obviously knows how to program a radio show. You don’t get to #1 on accident.
So now I’m speculating: did he flip-flop and invite Trump on not because he supports him (he claims he doesn’t) but because he knows this is basically it for Trump to garner ratings. Think about it. If you bet that Trump loses, then he’ll be much less of a draw as a podcast guest after voting day. If Trump wins, he probably wouldn’t come on the show until after his presidency. Four years is a long time, he could be dead by then.
So it’s a bit of win-win to have him on. Or, rather, these last little window to squeeze some juice from that orange.
- This with Roan is that he's every bit a schyster as Trump himself, Peterson, et al are. They may or may not believe the shit they spew, but they know how to ...Continuity

Following the early vote numbers...
Unfortunately it's looking good for Trump in many of the swing states. Republicans seem to be turning out more heavily than Democrats in Nevada, Georgia and North Carolina.
Things look better for Kamala Harris in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin so far.
- Yeah but that's based on polls...this is actual voting.yuekit
- I just can't see Harris winning this, first female president is a big deal and I don't think she's the one to pull it offspl33nidoru
- We'll see...the data is still consistent with either of them winning. I'm just saying no one should be shocked if Trump wins, including popular vote.yuekit
- trump has never won the popular voteimbecile
- Actual votes aren't counted until election day these are just early ballot tallies by party affiliation which are as accurate as polling data.jonny_quest_lives
- Five of the latest polls all have the race tied nationally.yuekit
- https://www.nytimes.…yuekit
- Admittedly that's a weird result but I don't think you can ignore NYT since they are considered one of the best pollsters.yuekit
- older voters tend to vote early. Republicans will run out of those soon enough and even then how many of those early R votes will actually vote for Trumpjonny_quest_lives
- The troubling thing is that Democratic turnout seems mediocre so far in Southern states. You'd hope for more enthusiasm for a decisive Harris win.yuekit
- The early voting in Pennsylvania and Michigan looks better, close to 2020. But if she doesn't win any southern states she has to sweep PA, MI, WI.yuekit
- one can either assume that suddenly Republicans who didn't vote for trump in 2016 are suddenly enthusiastic about him...jonny_quest_lives
- or maybe female registered Republicans who now see the full horror show of this reproductive rights rollback might be tilting towards Kamalajonny_quest_lives
- either way it's going to be an exciting election dayjonny_quest_lives
- Yeah if Trump wins one thing that will continue to be baffling to me is why American women don't stand up for themselves more.yuekit
- get out and vote if you're an American do not stay home... and if you already cast your ballot in early voting congratulations!jonny_quest_lives
- Yes this isn't 2016, you can't say you weren't warned this time!yuekit
- Who are you talking to? It’s not like anyone here is voting for Trump.monospaced
- ^ lol are you sure about that?Continuity
- There are a few Trump supporters here actually. The main thing is to actually go vote if you're a normal person.yuekit
- ^100% THIS ^ !!VOTE!!jonny_quest_lives
- Yeah of course. But this whole “you were warned” nonsense is silly. I’m still voting against Trumpmonospaced
