Didn’t trump get the most votes of any incumbent president? Lots of people voted for trump, just that more people voted against him. He could easily win.

Do not underestimate how little respect America has for its women.

    • lol didn't he said this in the Joe rogan podcastgrafician
    • He’s been saying it for years. Not sure if it’s true lolnb
    • Or do you mean did he say America doesn’t like women?nb
    • I’m not happy about this at all. It’s sort of mind-blowing that tons of women will vote for Trump over a female candidatenb
    • Yeah that's true...but if you think about it it's not that meaningful because in every election that are more people voting than in the last election.yuekit
    • So before Trump Obama got the most votes of any incumbent president...before that Bush did etc.yuekit
    • Trump would have never been Pres is it was based on votes and not our ridiculous electoral college. Almost no R would have won.formed

Whether Trump wins or not one thing where I think Democrats need to do better is with digital media. People keep asking how can people vote for this guy who the New York Times reported idolizes Hitler...but many people these days aren't reading the NY Times. They get their news from the Joe Rogan Experience, or the Theo Von show or whatever random thing people listen to these days.

And the right absolutely dominates this kind of content...they've spent years laying the ground with narratives like the hysteria about feminists, wokeness, Black Lives Matter etc...along with conspiracy theories like stolen election, anti-vax etc that are now widely believed.

    • A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.whatthefunk
    • the only way the dems can get the votes is if trump is everywhere and winning in the polls and you know it. 10x know trump was on rogan than will watch itkingsteven
    • You can't deny that mainstream media are biased.
It's always good to have another echo to make your own opinion.

    • But he represents America as it actually exists...a guy with a mullet from a reality TV show. You have to face the reality.yuekit

This is Madison Square Garden, once again occupied by Neo Nazis and their bigot lord. I'm standing in a crowd of protestors.
I've never been surrounded by so many Trump supporters than when I was on the way to this location. I can't express how disturbing it was. There was one guy dressed as Jesus, carrying a cross yelling about how Trump is the savior.

    • 33million views for his Joe Rogan interview is a seriously scary level of fanaticism. How does anyone fight back against this populist bullshit?Ianbolton
    • It’s too late, he’s destroyed America. Republicans and democrats are both to blame. But Republicans are most at fault.nb

    • Instead, dems blame brainwashing and Russia (both partly to blame!) but it’s not like the brainwashing and Russia manipulation are secrets.nb
    • Dems refuse to look inward and ask the tough question: “how is it possible that we are losing to this maniac? Is it possible we’re getting in our own way?”nb

Who else, besides me is voting for the smarter of the two candidates, Trump?

(i can't believe a guy like Trump turns out to be the smarter one... US politics is a joke. Though, democratic party has lost its mind long a go so they picked someone, who probably couldn't make it as actor of "Dumb & Dumber" movie, as their presidential candidate.)

How embarrassing, somebody really should have told Trump they built Madison Square Garden in 1969

pr2 isn’t doing a great job of making his point, but it IS his point, yet we refuse to listen.

Do we still not see that people are voting for Trump despite not liking him at all? pr2 doesn’t even like Trump, but he sees the Left as having gone too far and there is no other option to vote against that. So he’s stuck voting for the lesser of his two evils.

His post, but mostly OUR RESPONSES TO IT represent a perfect example as to why Trump has a shot at winning, despite being a total maniac.

It’s not that the left is wrong (whether you are wrong or right is beside the point.) It’s that we’re not listening. We’re only hearing what we want to hear.

It’s too late for this election, or course. But democrats need to wake up. Or, keep doing what we’ve been doing and scratch our heads as to why we lose.

    • If Dems are the left, my name is Laika and have returned alive from spaceOBBTKN
    • Fair enough! It means that you, too, vote for someone you don’t like.nb
    • @nb couldn't agree more. An 'anything but Trump' strategy seems to be the least productive approach and potentially the worst outcome for the US.Morning_star
    • I disagree. Trump would be potentially the worst thing for this country. And “not listening” is irrelevant. We vote.monospaced
    • His point of view is based on lies and fear mongering. And Trump isn’t “smart”monospaced
    • If we lose it isn’t because we didn’t listen. Voting is all we can do as citizens and Kamala isn’t “evil” either. She also isn’t a criminal.monospaced
    • As you can see, mono is doubling down on his decision to not listen. Stick your head in the sand, man. See how that works out for you.nb
    • Your vote only cancels out one trump voter. You need to think bigger.nb
    • Digging in your heels and shouting “but we’re right!” hasn’t worked in over ten years. Why do you think it will work now?nb
    • I’ve listened, their point of view isn’t ignored. But voting is the only option.monospaced
    • Please elaborate on what you’re doing that is “thinking bigger” than voting, and how you will go beyond canceling out one trump vote.monospaced
    • If you mean listening and being active politically in a community, I’m way ahead of you.monospaced
    • @mono is your stance about the politics or the personality? I don't think anyone is arguing that Trump would be good it's just that decision isn't just...Morning_star
