I'm digging the moral questions here. The modern existence is one in which we know there is no objective morality, no God to tell us what we ought to do. We're suspended over an abyss of nihilism that we can fall into as deep as we would want. To believe anything is right is to hold yourself up over that pit, knowing there is nothing below you. But there is no place anywhere you can stand, no bottom to it, no place where you will find ground. "When you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you--" we see the meaningless in ourselves.
Coming out of this problem is a solution that if you are suspended anywhere, you can choose to where you'll be fixed in this moral pit. You shall choose your place and know that no matter how low or how high, there's a way to be lower, and a way to be higher.

I wouldn't work for a fast food chain because they're responsible for the death of millions, I def wouldn't work for weapon manufacturers, see point above,
nor will I work for banks, governments, political parties big pharma, biotech, media empires, tech corporations, see point above, nah, just joking, I'd work with all of them, I'm not going to pretend I don't need their money, that I'm above yall coz I have some moral compass, if you go down the list there's isn't a single corporation that isn't responsible for making our planet the shithole it is now,
SO STOP PRETENDING!! lol

Reading up on Andrew Carnegie and his moral compass (& accumulation of wealth being good) sparked this post.

i don't think that this is about anyone putting their self above others morally. if you have a differing moral opinion, you should not be hurt by someone saying "I would never work for X."
however, if it does pang you to see someone else say "I wouldn't do this or that," maybe that is your moral compass reminding you how you really feel about it too.
- Maybe, if we don't agree with you we are wrong.********
- I don't need a moral compass. I know very well where I stand.********
- I've got a moral GPS but it's got a really annoying voiceFax_Benson

I've done work for small "cool" clients who ended up being control freaks and not very easy to work with and I've worked with big boring corporate clients who ended up giving me a lot of control and were very positive.
I'd turn down an evil company or someone like Sarah Palin because I don't want to make them look good, but otherwise, don't turn down opportunities. You can learn something from anyone and if they pay you fairly that's great.

Life's too short to worry about "selling out".
