Why I think wokeness is so hard to get down with and why most people secretly despise transsexuals: It's not because of their orientation per se, but there is something about their attitude which makes them unbearable...

A transgender right activist (for example) is happy to meet a likeminded person, who supports transgenders, but they are even happier to meet someone who doesn't.
There is some kind of pleasure in conflict for them. All minorities either need someone to hate or to be hated to define themselves, otherwise they just blend in with the rest population (which ironically is their goal on paper).

The explanation is always the same: sexual dissatisfaction, and sexually dissatisfied people are motivated in general, in regards to any objective.

People want the name "Hawaiian Pizza" changed...

The name “Hawaii” is associated with the history of colonialism and appropriation, because it is precisely with the pineapple cultivation that the indigenous population was exploited by white settlers. The debate is therefore not directly about racism, but about “colonial stereotypes”.

    Everyone is racist
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In…

Oxytocin, the so-called love hormone, is really a us-vs-them amplifier.
    https://time.com/49399/oxytocin-…
"A study done in the Netherlands showed that oxytocin increased the in-group favoritism of their nation while decreasing acceptance of members of other ethnicities and foreigners.[41] People also show more affection for their country's flag while remaining indifferent to other cultural objects when exposed to oxytocin."

If evolution has given us a separate hormone with oxytocin-specific receptors, there must have been a good reason for it. Xenophobia had some beneficial function in the past when we lived in small tribes, but today it's an atavism -- an ancestral trait like vestigial tail, werewolf syndrome, wisdom teeth etc, except racism is not a throwback, but a full featured instinct.

The problem is that our biology is stubborn and racism will probably stick with us for many hundreds of years to come. There is no obvious negative selection where racists are filtered out from the gene pool.

Just realize it's part of your firmware and not part of your personality. Some people are able to ignore it (together with other firmware functions like fear of death, desire to supersede others etc), the remaining 90% are functional illiterates and don't have this level of reflection.

This is why I'm pessimistic about multiculturalism in general. Not because it's bad or immigrants are bad or whatever, but simply because humans in general, both immigrants and natives, are not mature enough to handle it.

Meanwhile, we aim to colonize Mars and other planets while still carrying these cave instincts. Chances are some religious group will wipe out half of humanity with some AI-engineered virus or a bucket of pure botox-grade neurotoxin thrown into the ocean

LIZZO CHANGES LYRIC IN BEASTIE BOYS-SAMPLING SINGLE 'GRRLS' AFTER BACKLASH OVER THE WORD 'SPAZ'

Lizzo dropped “GRRRLS” last week, which uses a sample of the 1986 Beastie Boys’ single “Girls” from the trio’s debut Licensed To Ill. Had those offended by “spaz” been more familiar with the song’s origins, they’d probably be more outraged by the lyrics Ad-Rock, MCA and Mike D were spitting at a time when misogyny, offensive language and sexism was basically celebrated. Live shows of that era featured women in cages dancing onstage and a giant hydraulic penis.

“Girls, to do the dishes,” they rapped. “Girls, to clean up my room/Girls, to do the laundry/Girls, and in the bathroom/Girls, that’s all I really want is girls/Two at a time, I want girls/With new wave hairdos, I want girls/I ought to whip out my...”

As for “GRRRLS,” Lizzo originally sings,
    Bitches, uh
    Bitches, uh, uh-huh
    Hold my bag, bitch (girls)
    Hold my bag
Do you see this shit? I'ma spazz

In poor countries material goods like cars, fine clothing, bling are considered status symbols.

In rich first world countries like Norway being fit and well trained is becoming a status symbol. When material goods are no longer scarcity goods and do not impress anyone people seek other dimensions in which they compete.

American status symbol is belonging to a minority, it's the only way to have some value as a person

After some years of reflecting on gender, I don’t really have preferred pronouns. I identify as cisgender, I’m a basic white male. Lots of gay friends, some bi and one trans friend. I’m not really bi but I wouldn’t be offended or put off by a man hitting on me. I’m not not bi, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, if someone asks my preferred pronoun, I always say he/him but it’s not actually my preference. I have no preference. I could not care less. Call me by whatever. But my point is this: if someone asked me (at work) to share my preferred pronouns, it is “PC” of me to just say “he/him”. It’s not really true, but if I say “I have no preference” I honestly wonder how that would be received.

    Food for thought.

Back in the day, my favorite spot was this Sichuan joint in Alabama that was an obvious drug front. Beyond obvious, I’m talking you have to knock on the glass to get in, 150 seats, empty, unlit, and when you flipped on the lights to the bathroom hallway you’d startle rows of goldfish circling in algae-coated aquariums that were all lined up in storage.

The food end was managed by a legit mama tiger, and she’d fire up the kitchen when I came in. Best fucking dan dan and mapo I’ve ever had. Just typing this is making me drool a bit.

It became a first date place, to the point where if I came in alone, mama would sit down with me while I ate and berate me with lines like “Why’d you run her off, she was pretty!”

So yeah, just a long response to the overly politically correct Karen screenshot. Appreciating great food and a great environment is not appropriation, it’s like Scara said: “cultural appreciation”.
