the pen and lamp position suggests left-handed, gun in the right hand, so murder...
- < d'oh, yeah.detritus

- i don't see why left-handedness matters here. more important that the gun is in the right hand and the blood is is on the right wall.sarahfailin
- People don't shoot themselves with their weak hand. So gun is planted. There is also still a cigarette in left hand.ETM
- what if the person is ambidextrous? i'm not sold on the person being left-handed.sarahfailin
- Even so, the only way this works, without seeing the head injury, is if they were rotated on the stool, facing away from the desk at the time.ETM

yeah, the blood splatter is low and against the wall to the person's right, like the person was sitting down writing and was shot in the left side of the head. gun is in the right hand.
m-u-r-d-e-r. give me my money.- Person could have been facing away from the desk. Need to see head wound. Glasses are off on the desk, so less chance they were reading or writing at desk.ETM
- Cigarette and ash tray are on left, however, many smokers use their opposite hand to smoke to keep other hand free.ETM
- Actually drink and pen are on the left, too. So person IS left handed. Still murder. Shell casing on desk is odd.ETM

they're one thing that you missed though
- that the lamp isn't plugged in? like someone planted the suicide note? if that's what they're trying to go for, i feel there isn't enough detail in the pic.sarahfailin
- We don't know time of death, so don't know if it was light out when writing. They are at a window, after all.ETM
- I'll also need access to those books on the desk and the contents of the trash bin.ETM

None of the above.
It's pretty clear that that stain is from the other side of the wall, a result of the Kool Aid Oh Yeah guy slamming hard like no one but not penetrating wall completely; cherry Kool Aid is seeping thru wall. The woman was attempting to figure out her nos DYMO label maker while smoking and writing a letter to her ex-husband who now lives in Decatur with his new family. She was naturally startled by the Kool Aid sound, fell to the ground and hit her head. She is now sleeping. However, that Winfield cigarette is about to turn her 200 sq ft rental apt into an inferno. So eventually will be seen as an accident.

The vase looks like its wearing a bikini.
So, murder.

crime scene was probably compromised by the time the artist finished painting.

Knowing Georges, this is just some random shite he's found on the internet and posted here, whilst all us mugs look at it and think it's some kind of considered puzzle with an actual, deterministic answer.

The letter doesn't look finished, and the scene cries 'Suicide!', so I'm going with 'Murder'.
- stoplying1
Cigarettes and coca cola so a long, slow suicide.
