Never had a cavity, but had braces and 3 wisdom teeth removed.
Last time the dentist said one tooth had a "dark" spot. Or maybe "soft" spot?

Had 8 teeth removed in total. Braces for 3 years. Filed few teeth so they don't cut my tongue. Never had cavity.

Ugh dentist visits are so traumatic for me. I had perfect teeth but I got in a horrible accident when I was 13. Knocked out ALL of my front teeth and had a collapsed pallet. They saved most teeth with 8 root canals but I got 2 implants after the braces were too much for the top front two. There was A lot of plastic surgery to put me back together and keep everything in place. Thank god for some of these modern procedures. I only had one awkward looking year. I should hunt down my original X-rays from right after my accident.

And for your Bernie heads, this is relevant.
The average US CEO last year made only $178,400 (about the same as a dentist), and got a raise of less than 1%
- So? You know how many companies there are in the States and how averages work?detritus
- Lots of data out there man, *see 2016 Presidential Candidate thread.drake-von-drake

I had to visit my family dentistry clinic in Oakville for having dental implants. Hope this video would be informative.

studies couldn't prove any effect of flossing in reducing caries risks, that's why dentists don't recommend ituan

Got paid $500 bucks to participate in a drug study to get my wisdom teeth removed at the U of Penn in Philly. I was a broke student at the time so that was rent, plus utilities.
Woke up mid-procedure to the doctor violently shaking my head back and forth with a vice grip thing in my mouth and I saw shards of my teeth on a tray in front of me. I asked if I could take them home with me, he gassed me and that was that.
Bummer - I got the placebo.- if you woke up, it wasn't a placebo, because you didn't sleep through the process of breaking your tooth apart and yanking out pieces with a wrench :)monospaced
- The "painkiller" post-procedure was a placebo.stoplying

Anyone ever had a deep cleaning / scaling and root planing procedure? Went in for a regular cleaning today (my first in a few years, sadly) and they recommended the deep cleaning, which I'm getting the first one of tomorrow. Watched some videos, looks semi-horrific but at least they numb you. So YES, I am looking forward to more shots in my mouth after having a root canal, crown, and a filling all in the last month.
