Does anyone have experience with Invision for prototyping? My employer is considering switching to Invision from Sketch—any thoughts?

i use it from time to time - it works really well, especially for working visuals
the devs i use seemed quite happy with it so it must be reasonably professional.

Use it a lot. It's brilliant, and getting better all the time.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm pumped to use it.

really not a prototyping tool, but great for presentations and getting feedback

we use it for presenting visuals and allowing clients to leave comments.
its nice that you can set view to desktop/ipad/iphone then when you want to preview on mobile you can get a link sent to you via txt so you can view on your device. It's not a product FOR prototyping though.
You upload designs and can add hotpots etc if you like.
But you cannot create prototype layouts IN invision.

They're taking on Sketch now.

Honestly I cant keep up with all the tools that are coming out these days. But the Windows compatibility could sway a lot of people. Also the animation features look promising.
- just created an account, thanks for the head upOBBTKN
- Already paying the Adobe subscription, but looks promising...OBBTKN

looking forward to animations features in studio/invision. currently use sketch and then animating in principle / after effects.

Sorry, i don't get it - does this output to real, usable [un- subscription-hoste] code?
If not, do you have to replicate all that fancy animation and transition stuff in another codebase anyway?
- I have the same question, it's unclear if Studio outputs final files.utopian
- 1:20 in video above.nb
- I saw that when I watched the video three times yesterday, but I'm not really sure that answers my question - it outputs to Swift, so not to web directly?detritus
- I guess my original enquiry should've specified 'to web, html/js/etc'detritus

Is there any good comparisons out there for these kind of tools, specifically with how they work for web design? They all seem to be targeting app UI designers.
I've tried using Sketch briefly, but didn't like the way it handles type (unable to use different paragraph styles within one text box) which is a bit of a deal breaker, so went back to Photoshop (which is slow & messy, but gets the job done).
- Sketch is the shit! Why do you need different styles per textbox? I work with an eyebrow, headline, body copy, CTA. All in separate text boxes. No biggie.Frosty_spl
- Because I want them to all flow together, as one block of text. Seperate text boxes is messy and convoluted.Nathan_Adams
- You can select multiple boxes and change the width etc and have them all follow suit. No idea why you would need it all in one box.set

Once you switch from Photoshop to Sketch for web design, there's no going back. We have 5 huge pages (for part of the website I work on), in photoshop would be 5gb EACH! A sketch file is 1gb total. Sketch is MUCH faster.
You will have to have your PSD elements saved in a folder, but whatever. It's a different workflow but not bad.
